Here's a few things that might help: Most of the 'heavyweight' muscle cars (IE: the ones with a performance advantage over others in their class) such as the Chrysler 500, Dodge Charger and Plymouth Hemicuda behave a bit more roughly than the tamer, crapper muscle cars (generally the modern ones lik...

There was a featurette on topgear about a vauxhall victor (a nearly compact-sized muscle car from the '70s,I think) that was modified to go faster than a Bugatti Veyron. There's absolutely no reason why a muscle car shouldn't go fast IRL, especially the modified ones with alumnium or carbon fibre bo...

I'd be interested in seeing this as well, for both Carbon and Most Wanted. I remember that there was a thread on this (search for 'rubberband') that showed you how to hexedit MW so it would disable this - but unfortunately it seems to be for a different country or version of MW because my offsets sh...

Rubberbanding in NFS:Carbon
As title. Is there the same rediculously lame rubberbanding in NFS Carbon as there was MW? MW was rediculous as hell when it came to this, as I'd often get an enourmous lead over some noob AI opponents only for them to catch up over 30 seconds worth of lead time in one lap.

You might need to watch some car test driving video, lotus lacks power seriously. Yap, Lotus is very very nimble due to it's weight at around 700kg, but it has only 120hp !. Its engine is refined for shaving off serious weight, but it's vulnerable to serious tuning. In other hand, Rx7 weights aroun...

The idea of tiers sounds kind of retarded to me. Anyone who modifies cars will know that you can turn pretty much anything (with a few obvious limitations) into pretty much anything with a bit of work. After all, there's that guy with the Vauxhall Victor (Vauxhall has always sucked in most peoples' ...

Realism of Cars/tuning in Carbon
Are the cars in Carbon relatively realistically set out or are they complete BS, ala Most Wanted? Namely, can you upgrade crapper cars to the point that they're actually able to beat something other than a bicycle, and are the muscle cars actually any good or do they fall to the generic 'takes eight...

Since this is a street lgal production car (more or less) with faster acceleration and higher top speed than the veyron (as well as being produced 3 years earlier), why isn't it rated as the fastest car in the world?

It ain't too hard. My dad and I converted a early 90's model holden six from EFI/electronic to carb over a weekend, so I guess it's more to do with the engine. Also, I was referring to the balance of the engine itself, not inside the car; and the reason I want to use a lexus V8 is the lack of weight...

Doing an engine change
Hey, I'm thinking of dropping a LS400's V8 into my '73 HQ Kingswood (for an increase in power over it's existing Holden Red S6) and wondering what everyone's opinion on the Lexus V8s are like. From what I've seen they seem to be fairly popular, both for putting into midsize cars that come with crapp...
