Re: Post your system specs!
Duuuude, tell me how those cases work. I'm thinking of slapping a cheap media PC together with some of these left over parts, since sitting on my floor all the time can't be good for them rofl. Pretty much the same as normal cases (usually micro-atx form), though the layout is quite different than ...

I'm also looking to get a bluray capable mediacenter of some sort, hopefully sometime this spring. My current standalone mediaplayers aren't capable of HD playback so it is time to retire those. Lucky break, a friend of mine wants to get rid of his setup so I'm getting one next week. Some upgrades ...

What's best in a price range of below 80EUR? This might be: ASUS EN9500GT TOP/DI/512M, factory overclocked to 700MHz/2GHz (stock is 550MHz/1.4GHz). Should be available for about 80e. Quote: "Crazily overclocking GPU to 700MHz! - 2 times faster than generic GF9500GT!" http://www.asus.com/p...

Re: The Windows Seven Thread
I'm along the same lines. Been using Vista Business x64 for about a year now and have no issues with it. But then again I have good hardware underneath. Windows 7 shows lots of promise, I've tested it on a variety of platforms (as it is a part of my job as a system administrator). It scales really w...

Re: Computer Show-off
Yes, he is now retarded. =D> I think he means, a P4 is not powerful enough to get all the potential out of a 7600GT, not to mention a 9800GT. The same card with a newer cpu would perform much better. As far as more overclocking goes, the other components start to restrict you even more. That ...

Mine or arabnights? Mine is dual-xeon, arabnights says it´s a P4. Looks a bit overkill for a P4 though, unless overclocked.baumaxx1 wrote:Heh, what a cooler! P4? Surely it's not a pentium 4...

@carcrazy A bit odd, it should read as "479 mPGA" which was/is the socket used on laptops. For some reason cpu-z doesn't get the correct info from your laptops motherboard. Your cpu generation is different to my than my though (yonah vs merom, different bus speeds, yonah 32bit, merom 64bit...

Re: Post your system specs!
Don't own F3 I'm afraid so can't verify how it reacts to crossfire. Me personally I'm running every game I have at 1920x1200, all settings maxed out including AA and haven't found a game yet that would lag. Any common benchmark result? I'm getting about 15000 marks in 3DMark06. Any difference in F3 ...

Depends on the game, which games have you tried?
And at what settings, crossfire really kicks in only at high resolutions (1680x1050, 1920x1080)?

It's ok, but a 9600GT (if equally priced) even with less memory would be noticeably faster (the 1 gfx ram doesn't really do anything for todays games).

Excellent. I'm very pleased with my crossfire setup. It wasn't a straight forward install however, needed a bit of googling to get the pair working properly (issue with my motherboard bios settings, my mobo is quad crossfire capable and it needed manual settings for dual operation ie. increasing the...

My keyboard is a plain crappy oem keyboard, I don't need anything fancy on that. But I do have an excellent cordless mouse, Logitech VX Nano . Abslutely love the frictionless wheel. You should be able to get a 9600GT with that amount or close. Manufacturer doesn't really matter, they all perform roughly the same. Depends on what is bundled with the card (maybe a game or some other software).karthik_blr wrote:PLEASE suggest a gfx card with in $120

Look worse than it is. Once tied down the cables aren't in the primary airflow path. (intake fan front panel bottom, exhaust from the two fans right next to the cpu heatsinks and through the psu. The 92mm fans attached to the heatsinks both blow up toward and into the psu.)

Oh btw, both HDs have the same cache size: 16 MB. The only difference I see is the price... but I think I'll buy the 250 GB one. I don't need that much space, actually I don't even have 100 GB used with the OS installed and all the other stuff (GTA IV and FSX take all this space = 35 GB xD). I thin...

Just got tired of the insane noise level of my dual-xeon server. For those who haven't seen a stock 604-socket xeon cooler, it has an extremely noisy 60x60x25mm fan running (at highest) at 6000rpm. Even your neighbours can hear it at that speed. Though I admit, they do move an impressive amount of a...

Being an arcade game and not a simulation, it's nothing to be surprised about. It's propably so to make it possible to play the game with non-analog controllers (ie. keyboard) where it is impossible to give the cars just a little brake (buttons being on/off). People with analog controllers or pedals...

Reading some reviews and checking some benchmarks I found out that 2 HD-4850s crossfired are awesome. Great even for 2560x1600 resolution (If ever buy a 30" screen. Do you think they'll (30"screens) get any cheaper after idk 6 months?) and in some cases they produce more than twice as muc...
