Help for LAn play

Hi, I am trying to play NFS Undergroud2 in 2 PC's but unfortunately with no success.
I choose the Lan play otion and the system prompts me to Host Lan Server
I enter a name and the system tries to connect to Lobby.
After a while the system response that I have lost connection to the LAn server.

The 2 PC's are connected to a private network and have the same subnet mask of 255.255.255.0.
The facts are: 1st pc hosts the lan server and gives a name. 2nd pc sees the name of the lan srver but cannot connect to it.

Can anyone give some help?

doesn't the booklet applied with the game answer your question on how to set up a lan game?

I'm trying to follow the instructions but the the system does not go any further other than trying to create a Lan server and then to connect to the lobby.
On that point the system prompts that the lan is stopped and that you should check you cable. I think the real problem is that the system does not allow me to create a lan srever. I have downloaded the patch found in the ea_techsupport but no progress made.

I have exactly the same problem... Could not fix it yet... The thing is, a friend and me have the same problem on completely different pc's. We tried re-installing, different patches etc.

fasteddie1, What Operating System do you use? Win XP with what Service pack?

I loaded Patch 1.2. It corrected the problem for me. I hope it helps you.
