I heard something similar, some native South American tribe like the Aztecs predicted 'the end of the world' Dec. 23, 2012. It may sound like superstition, and it very well may be, but said tribe had accurate astrological predictions that still hold true today.

all the theories about how the earth will end are about 1 in a billion so don't go worrying over them. the earth will not end very soon, it will last a while.

I never claimed anything would happen - I didn't say the world wouldn't end 'soon', I didn't say it wouldn't.

I'm not pessimistic, I'm realistic. People often get them mixed up. ;)

Instead of worrying about when the world will end, maybe you should worry about when humanity will destroy itself. I honestly believe this will happen before the world itself is destroyed. The chance of mankind killing themselves off is a lot higher than something like a meteor hitting earth.

well, what else would the world do if it isn't going to end? there is nothing in between the world ending and the world staying the same.

Uhh, yeah, there's a lot between there. Though I think you may have your terminology mixed up. 'The end of the world as we know it' perhaps? The human race could cease to exist and the world would keep on spinning.

Look, noone knows when the world is gonna end because there is no time machine to jump between dates to find out when. The only things are predictions and theorys, and both of those things are just thoughts that have been told to a mass of people but have never or not yet been proven, so evilmegamonkey...xHaZxMaTx would have no hard evidence to tell exactly the date that the world would end.

I never said it was. It was just in the Bible that when Jesus came back, he said he would return for his people in 2000 years

2007 years later, we're still here. Alot of people lost faith in him then but I think it was all a test.

Let's not make this a religious arguement now

When it comes to religion, i don't think any of the holy scriptures out there said exactly when the world going to end. The scriptures only talk about signs.

That's as far as I know. :)

Yeah and I don't argue about things such as religion seeing as everyone has a different views on it and arguing about it would get a person nowhere.

I was preparing for when some one would come on here and be like, 'We'll Christians never get anything right' or, 'W/e you stupid Jew' and stuff.

Gotta plan ahead.

I really can't be bothered with this arguement..it's totally pointless... -.-

The world is not going to end soon. Yes, the sun may burn out in a few million years, or an asteroid may by chance hit earth, but this is all chance, it is not planned, it is not a specific time, it can't be speculated.

Mods need to put in place a program that removes pointless arguements on this forum, this thread would only have 200 pages if something like that could be put into place. There are a lot of people on this forum who must do nothing than bicker

i rather have the human race end by a bunch of mutated monsters than a massive flood. it just seems more baddass and lets aliens know we meant business before we got eradicated.
