NO, because using the player's time would make it more realistic, it would also make a better online mode.

you seem to be forgetting time zones?
when its getting light here in NL, its around midnight in the US

so if i start a race at say.. 7am, it should be day in my game
a player in eg: NY, would be @1am, so its night

what if im going to race this person from NY? :)

EDIT: i suppose this could be possible if a central time server was used, so everyone has the same time

but i guess that would make things quite complicated/expensive

Yes, but each player's game would run from his time zone. It would be easier for a server to syncronize 10 or 12 time zones than it would thousands differant players.

but that doesnt solve the problem

it doesnt make sense if one player is driving by day and one by night if they are in the same race

Ok. Let's say your in Florida and your racing Djiel and he's in Netherlands. Why should he be racing in the day, and you racing in the night? It makes no sense to go against the whole game's structure for a simple gameplay mode to show you in darkness and him in light for hours and hours on in.

Lmfao Carcrazy, that was such a stupid thing to say. The easiest way, like Ra-akone said is to have a sped up cycle that is central, which would allow for a more diversified play, it would be more affordable, and there wouldn't be this time zone nonsense.

Dude, calm down. If you wanted day/night cycle, then have it set up like Most Wanted's; 30 minutes of day, 30 minutes of night.

I wish you could choose between different setups for Autosculptable ground effects.

(e.g.); Sweeper front bumper that has three different styles in which you could modify on that part.

Make sense? :)

Basically, they should give you the option to modify parts in more than just one style. Like in Carbon, each bumper had it's own selection of zones to change.

This time out, why not be able to have more zones on the same parts that you can unlock as you progress through the game.

My screwup

TheStig wrote:I would like to see this in a NFS game:

that every continent has it's own version of the/a car.
For instance the Astra

Brittish NFS gamer drive the Vauxhall Astra VXR
Mainland Europe NFS gamers drive the Opel Astra OPC
Australian NFS gamers drive the Holden Astra SRi Coupe (ok not the same specs as above but just to show the options)
North American NFS gamers drive the Saturn Astra Red Line.

Why?
Well then when you go online you can see cars from all over the world so you can see where a driver is from by his car.

just a tought.

Ha, I tried to post that idea earlier, but my internet cut out at the instant.

To move that further...try the Vectra.

Britain- Vauxhall Vectra VXR
Mainland Europe- Opel Vectra OPC
Australiasia- Holden Vectra
USA- Saturn Aura XR

LY7-36 engine or LP1-28 Turbo? The country will decide.

An interesting thought, but usually the rebadging is for GM cars. And if NFSC is sold in Japan, since they don't have Acura or Lexus there, they might have to rebadge them as Hondas and Toyotas.

Yeah, but I'm saying that in Japan, NFSC cars that are branded as Lexus or Acura will have to be rebadged as Toyota or Honda, respectively. It's basically like what TheStig said about the rebadging, just another example for the idea.

Well not so much Lexus....Toyota will expand Lexus to Japan in short notice, I've read.

Anyone for having the Lexus IS-F in NFS11?
