Post by speed_man »

I bought a Evo 10 recently, it has all stage 3 parts. But everytime i hit the gas coming out of the corner of a turn, the car starts to spin out... :? Any tuning tips for me??

Thanks in advance :)

never had this b4, i use an evo X. are you using default tuning? countersteering a bit the opposite way not working? maybe increase the caster (i think it's caster) towards the one that gives more grip a bit. Does it happen all the time or what? Need more details.

Learn to drive..? :P Aside from that, mess with the shocks, tire pressure and suspensions to bias the thing more towards understeer, and you should be jolly good..

that used to happen with my viper SRT10. AWD cars are good. why not use a good car like a skyline R35 or a WRX STi. seriously though, it could just be your driving. no offence.

Adjust your brake bias to the rear for understeer. Even though in real life you adjust it to the FRONT for understeer but anyhoo...

for those saying that he should use an AWD car, you do realise the Evo X IS AWD?!

If you want a superb handling car, even though it is jolly expensive, get the Porsche 911 Turbo. It's AWD, it has great acceleration and top end speed, and sublime handling.

I'm having the same problem with this car, it seems to be difficult to handle. Anyway, I'll try the tuning tips you mention, thanks!

seriously? i used it all the way. It's actually not hard at all to drive. you have to brake before turns more later on when you get more power though, as you can't just coast or accellerate through turns anymore, though i've never heard of spinning out at the end of a turn as a problem. No offence but i seriously think it's your driving.

Actually I used the MITSUBISHIGOFAR cheat on a new career on my US user (PS3), and it's a blast to drive. Just muck around with the suspension settings, Every time I come out of a corner it does a really nice controlled drift and picks up speed. Best fun I've ever had in the game.

If your using a keyboard, and traction control is off, you'll have trouble.

you mean assists? I race on king... It has a slight tendency to slide, but for me it's no prob. You get used to it and it actually helps because the oversteer allows you to take the turns quicker and build up mad speed coming out and for use in the next turn w/ stage 4

I mean real world driving assiste. I assume people race on the mode where it doesn't brake or turn for you. I only have ABS and TCS on, as with a keyboard, it's full throttle or no throttle, unlike in a real car. When I get my PS3 I'll use it's controlers on the PC and I can do without driving aids.
