First car I ever drove was inicdentally my first car, which I learned in. It was an '87 Toyota MR2, lowered on 40mm springs, dual exhaust system...that thing howled.
Literally weeks after passing my test, the valve stem seals went. I still miss that car.

A 1997 VW Polo 16v, stripped to the balls on coilvers and Schrick cams
Passed it onto my younger brother, who binned it into a wall.

first car i drove was a 1999 Hyundai Sonata. it had a 3.0L V6 that pushed a decent 180 horsepower maybe more or less, i can't remember. it was a fun car to drive to be an automatic. now we have a black 2006 Hyundai Elantra that has a small 2.0L DOHC CVVT 4-cylinder motor. it's okay though, i've only driven it once and didn't like it - way to small for me. my knees were passed the steering wheel. i felt like i was driving a clown car

An impressive feat to blow BOTH of them.

Wouldn't the synchros on the box prevent you from doing a change to first at 60?

The GTi or the R32? They're 2 very different cars. Ones 200bhp and FWD, and the others 250 and AWD.

I just got back from practicing driving my dad's manual 6-Speed Dodge Ram. It was incredibly easy compared to my mom's 5-Speed Civic.

Well, in the Civic, I can't seem to get the timing right with the clutch and the gas; I either peel out or kill the engine. In the truck, it requires almost no effort, at all.
