Re: New Forum Style
I think it's the font that he used. Hehe! Anyways, I'm just glad that I didn't have any troubles with my sig or whatsoever when this new skin was uploaded. Save me the troubles of uploading again.
Re: New Forum Style
yes, that was some dude in the sig request thread who did that actually. and i don't care.Porsche-AG wrote:It wasn't old... it was an antique masterpiece that should be kept for an eternity. And fishwhiz, you do realize that you spelled your name wrong in your own sig, right?

Re: New Forum Style
Also with this new style I've noticed, for me atleast, that I have to leave the forums completely for some topics to not say that there are unread posts. I went to the Help & Support forum and posted, but it still said there were unread posts, but there was only one topic with "unread posts" and no one else had posted in it yet

Re: New Forum Style
Hmm, haven't had that problem.
Y'know, with all the extra space in the user info table, we could up the maximum size of avatars to, say, maybe 150x150 pixels? Or 125x125?

Oooo please, we're on a car racing game forum, not a fashion/design one.Dragster wrote:Yes there was... it was old
Woah...woah...woah...so then the avatars will be all in your face? 100x100 is just fine...the forum is to discuss and talk about things, not to stare at other people's avatars...xHaZxMaTx wrote:Y'know, with all the extra space in the user info table, we could up the maximum size of avatars to, say, maybe 150x150 pixels? Re: New Forum Style
Meh, just a suggestion.
Re: New Forum Style
Actually the thing with the avatar will actually be good cuz if they are bigger we can spot them more easily so it makes up for not being on the left.

Re: New Forum Style
No it won't... nothing can replace the position. That's like saying that putting the steering wheel of the car on the right (or left for you Euros/Asians) will not cause any difficulties if you make the steering wheel larger. That's just idiocy.
Re: New Forum Style
But avatars don't control forums do they

Re: New Forum Style
Okay, we can play with that.
Let's try comparing the avatars to a turning signal then. It wouldn't make sense to put the left turning signal on the right and increasing the size/brightness of the signal. Everyone would be confused. Both the avatar and the turning signal let others know who/what you are (doing).

Re: New Forum Style
Firstly, people in this forum reads from the left, to the right. So before reading (left to right), isn't it appropriate to look at who's posting first (avatars), before the post is read?
Re: New Forum Style
^^^^^^^^^^
That and you can see people's signatures, as well. Having avatars on the left is really not as big a problem people are making it out to be.

Re: New Forum Style
Exactly, people are complaining that the avatar is on the RIGHT and it just doesn't make sense, like the 2 previous posters before you explained.xHaZxMaTx wrote:^^^^^^^^^^

Re: New Forum Style
Awww, you got me excited for a little while. You just photoshoped the picture, didn't you?
Re: New Forum Style
Yes he did, notice the gap between the post and the avatars?2furio wrote:Awww, you got me excited for a little while. You just photoshoped the picture, didn't you?

Re: New Forum Style
Bojan, would it really be that hard to use CSS to position the avatar box on the left?
Re: New Forum Style
Well, the avatars and other unimportant information about the user will stay on the right. It's the post that counts and that is the first thing visible on the left, right under the name of the poster and the date posted.
It's one of the features I liked the mosted when I first saw phpBB3's new style.

No offense Bojan but members are more important, after all it's us who live up your forum, it's us who post, etc...
Re: New Forum Style
Oh snap! I just found out that with the forum update, you can log out and log back in without having all the posts marked as read.
