0-o Holy crap, bogan! That rear-end damage is a real bummer. At least it appears as though someone ran into the back of you instead. I bet the guy in the Falcon was a happy camper after that. He didn't try to attack you with a spanner, did he? At least you managed to get it fixed for a real good price.
Despite that... the rest of the car still looks great.

Heh, actually the owner was a woman, and luckily she was real nice about it. She was telling me about her daughter who is also a P-plater and also getting into accidents blah blah anyway she didn't seem to care much about the damage I did to her car! It was still drivable so that was the important thing.jacoja06 wrote:He didn't try to attack you with a spanner, did he?
In other news, I just dropped over $1500 on new brake components
Rebuilt master cylinder, rebuilt calipers, new slotted rotors, Porterfield R4S brake pads (couldn't get Greenstuffs), and the braided brake lines that I already have.
Would have been a lot cheaper if the damn US dollar didn't drop like 25%. Bastids!
Re: The Super Doorstop: ZEROGÔKI 零å·æ©Ÿ
Come to think of it, why has our dollar dropped so much when America's stock market crashed?

Re: The Super Doorstop: ZEROGÔKI 零å·æ©Ÿ
Soooo . . . I had some time to install the brakes today, but I didn't get time to do the master. There was nothing actually wrong with the master cylinder but I just want to replace it because it's 20 years old.
I say WAS, because after I bled the brakes it was screwed. Pedal now sinks to the floor when I put it under pressure. I kind of expected this to happen, hopefully it will last until tomorrow.
Anyway I inspected the new master, and apparently the LHD master cylinder I bought is like a mirror image of the RHD master cylinder. FACK
I'll have to do some pipe-bending to make it fit, so I bloody hope that it all works out because a rebuild on the old master is like $250

Changed the clutch on Friday, that was fun. Not.
Also got my red bumper painted on Saturday, I just need to sand and polish it on Monday. I guess I never got around to taking pics of it oh well I'll get pics of it now that it's the right colour.

ty TG -_-
Here is the new bumper in all its painted glory, although atm it doesn't look very good for two reasons:
- the car is dirty
- I still haven't wetsanded and polished it properly
It's better than a red bumper anyway.

Re: The Super Doorstop: ZEROGÔKI 零å·æ©Ÿ
Ok I really need a bucket seat. The other day I kinda 'fell' out of the seat mid-corner and my bodyweight pulled on the seat belt and broke the buckle. Not broken as in 'can't use anymore,' just the platic bit that the belt loops through.
It's annoying now becuase of the sharp edges and it keeps falling down next to the door.
So I glued it back on, but it broke again after I fell out of the seat . . . again -_-
Anyway, here is the seat I want:
and here is the seat I can afford:
edit: srsly that blue one is over $2500 with a seat rail ^^

Haha, I've never heard of anyone sliding out of their seat while driving, before. I guess I'm one of the fortunate ones, though - I has a bukkit (seat).

Hah, you need to watch some more Top Gear then. Those guys have epic falling-out-of-seat moments

I probably should, but it's not been on On Demand, lately. By the way, them seats be black leather. Don't park in the sun.

Sorry to burst in, but me too - where I live, leather seats are suicide. And people ask me why I don't like luxury cars... (other reasons too, but still)boganbusman wrote:Ugh leather. You can keep em, I hate leather seats.
