Cool, thanks for the info. I was going to knock marks off the graphics in my review (soon to be written and posted) of this game because there was no option to disable motion bleugh! I hate it because I can't see the corners and go careering off into a wall, letting the AI pass and win.

Now if anyone knows of a similar way to enable the difficulty settings (as seen in the Demo) - I'm crap and keep losing - it would be appreciated. Cheers.

1- yeah, it does completely remove it.
2- you will gain about 5 more FPS while playing, andyour FPS wont be affected when going on high speeds even on 300+

Jusrt a small question here before I proceed with the procedures: How do I back up the current settings? I'm afraid things might corrupt.

You could take advantage of the moment and backup the whole registry, just use system restore to make a backup. If not try exporting the entire key somewhere else and if u need it back to default u open it and it should go where it belongs.

Testing on a few computers, I've noticed that 3/8 of RAM for Cache Size works best ... So, for 512 MB of RAM, you'd use 192 MB (161012736 bits) and for 1024 MB of RAM, you'd use 384 MB (3221225472 bits)

I only have 512 MB of RAM, so the 363 MB (3044530176 bits) default setting was killing my computer ...

What happens if you try to turn on a setting that is greyed out in the game? (e.g. Rain Effects)

It's greyed out because your graphics card doesn't support that particular feature, so enabling it in the registry will either do nothing or screw something up ...

This is also a good way to increase the shrpness of shadows and vinyls. :)

Hmm, if you go into NFS UG2 there is a regedit feature for damage. It's dfault is 0, but I've set it to 1; I wonder what it does... :)
