about the world record discussion:
1.6 mil is not the world record

I know a guy with a username, "Crazymofo"

he did over 4 mil on t6 (not single though)
that should be the world record
my best was 3.4mil single on t6

My Son (8 years old) received this game last year. We were playing today and the score he got for 5 laps on drift track 6 is 406,283. His record for the first 4 laps was 313,869. Is that good?

That's pretty good for a kid that age ... He should be proud ... I usually do around 800,000 on 5 laps for that track, but I'm also almost 3 times his age ...

Most kids take corners way too fast, so they end up losing a lot of points to the wall ...

Age doesnt matter IMO. This is a skills thing.

I consider myself as a good drifter. I beat 80-90% of people (not the same in other racing modes...

) I think Im still not good enough to enter a drifting clan...

Keep racing and getting practice.

Also important: The car. Try different cars and get that you feel more confortable with!!

Based on what I've read, there are cheat codes that can be used for these games. What do these cheat codes really do and how do they work? And do cheat codes exist for PS2/Xbox?

Thanks. My son's been really good at racing games. I'll try to see if this skills of his transfers well to real life. I will sign him up for go karting at Chicago Indoor Racing. They have classes for 8 and up.

Not even gonna post a screen... my best in 4 laps is 150 large, and I thought that was pretty durn high! Guess i oughta start practicin'...

My son says "Thanks!". Someone did say 1.2 million can be achieved on that track. He has a long way to go. I wonder what car they use to get that score. My son is trying the S2000 right now to see if it helps him get closer to that score.
