Yeah, I was thinking that as I put them in as well. Still, you never know, they might chuck them in just so they can build the numbers a bit.

Thanks for the updates to the car list, I do think that they will need to bring in new car models. In your car list you also included pre-UG cars which I don't believe will be in the game as they are too old.

The Porsche 959 thing is true, the community will make a model which will then be included in the game. Wonder how it will be tuned though.

Huh? I only went back as far as UG1, maybe some of those cars were in earlier games as well.

i think the community will make a model, then EA will look through it , fix if needed(there's always bound to be a bug) probably add tuning parts, handling, and test it in the game.

Sorry about that, thought I read that you had pre-UG cars in there too. By the way, are you in the beta?

Yeah, but have you seen the car they will try and tune :?: It's the Porsche 959! Let me show you a picture of it. it's not impossible to tune, just that I don't know how it'll look when it is tuned. It could look good with the correct parts, but it would be really easy to get the look of the car wrong too.

Hmm, it's an interesting car isn't it? That back end sure does look weird. I have no idea why'd they would include it in World, especially when you have all the classic Porsche sedans already. Maybe there's a new 959 concept model or something...probs not but hey. The 959's proportions remind me a lot of the Porsche GT actually.

No, I'm not in the beta, I didn't even sign up for it actually. Here's hoping that my parents will change their minds in the future and let me sign up xD

i just cant believe them adding a car that is tunable in Performance but not Visuals. + with proper vinyl work(as in, someone knows WHAT He is doing with the car) the car can look good. what about if they make it tunable with performance and visuals only(paint, vinyls, maybe window tints and such?)

So you want them to ruin a perfect Porsche classic by allowing you to give it a pink window tint and paint the rims red.
I believe that if the car is going to be tuned then it should only be performance, paint and vinyls, nothing else. Maybe a choice of special rims?

I actually like the rear end of the 959. I don't think there are any chances that a new 959 is in the works.
I didn't get what you were referring to in the highlighted parts of your post. By "classic Porsche sedans" do you mean the 911? Porsche didn't have a sedan until recently with the Porsche Panamera.
As for "Porsche GT", do you mean the Carrera GT?

Yeah, Carrera GT. And yeah, I was talking about the 911's, I guess you could classify them as a sedan, but they obviously don't fit the mainstream look of a sedan.

Dr. Houbenheimer, I prefer less cars, so I can taste more of each. Drop all basic trim levels and keep the top ones. Some cars on my list aren't in yours, so I'd like to know whether you missed them or don't like them:

Mazda MX-5 2009 (NC)
Subaru Impreza WRX STI Hatch 2010
Audi S4 2009 (8K)
Audi RS4 2007 (8E)
Pontiac Solstice GXP

Skyline R34
Eclipse GSX
S2000
NSX
or Mitsubishi 3000 GT
or RX-7, then im pretty much satisfied as i have atleast ONE of my favourite cars in the game. oh wait i forgot Supra!

Well Naburu, the list wasn't about my taste, it was just an unbiosed list of all the cars, so I must've accidentally missed those.

As for the Porsche 959 it's definitely tunable. There was the Dakar Rally version and I believe a couple of tuning houses have made one offs based on the 959. Not common to tune as it's so valuable in stock form.

I really want to see the 1990 RX-7 Series 5 in there as it is so criminally overlooked in racing games. Such a good car for modifying but never included due to it's newer curvy sister, that lacks the edgy slimline Porsche 944 looks of the Series 5.

But if they include the Escort RS Cosworth (very likely) they really need to include it's older and much bigger brother the Sierra RS Cosworth 500. If you thought the whale tale on the Escort was big then check out the Sierra! RWD 500Bhp nutter car and extremely tunable. Not too many good BK's for it, but then no-one really paid much attention to them after the 80's.

Just a note, you may want to update the car list as Nissan Silvia S15 Spec-R, Toyota Corolla AE86, Nissan 240SX and Volkswagen Scirocco are available in the newest beta build. There also are cars like Dodge Viper(not sure which model) or Porsche GT3 in cars folder which may or may not be included, but most likely will.

These are cars I'd like to see in game. I've classified them under Muscle, Tuners and Supercars/exotics.
Some cars names appears more than once, but the years differs. Sometimes, it's because I like those years' models, or the year of production was important for the company/car. Also, I wanna denote three things.

1st: I've classified the new cars with retro design under tuners, for example, the new Challenger. Why? Because of the way people modify them. Old muscle customization differs from the customization of these new cars. Also because for me, muscle area died around 1987.
2nd: You'll notice that I've put some Corvette under Muscle and some others under Supercars/exotics. The reason is simple, until the late '80, Corvettes were muscle cars. As simple as that. But after that they morphed into supercars/exotics, to survive if I may put it that way.
3rd: I haven't put cars into tiers, as I dunno how EA and Black Box decide which car go into what tiers.

So, here's my list:

Muscle

AC Cobra 427 (Ford Cobra if you prefers, but I decided to keep the car under its true company name.)

Buick GNX 1985

Yeah, not the new yucky Avenger, though. Ya, just noticed 'bout the NSX. Even forgot to add the Nissan 300ZX Coupe (Z32) 1996. Yeah, I know that the model was produced until 2000 in Japan, but I'd like to have some japanese car with left drive side. lol

Also, I did not put car by their power rating, but by body style I liked. So, that's why there are some cars some might say are crap, but still they look good, so...

More cars would be a good thing but at this rate EA is making new content, and with what they do to vehicles performance....Expect your favorite car in next 5 years, and it will handle like crap. Either that, or it will be slowest in its tier.

I don't expect them at all... The more I see how EA keep its sweet time updating the game, the more I think they're only using World to see how their servers handle heavy traffic and stuff for the upcoming Hot Pursuit. From what I understood, HP will be an online game, and it wouldn't surprise me that since EA wasn't able to "sell" the Starter Pack to players, thus making money out of the game, that World will get its plug pulled out as soon or after a short while that HP hit the shelves.

Still we can dream...
