Going back in time on the internet
I present to every one "The Internet Archive".
I assume some people might know it already, but I thought it might be fun.
All you need to do is click this link and type the url you want to see.
http://www.archive.org/
Not all websites work, obviously. But they do have 40.000.000.000.000 pages that DO work  (that's 40 billion)
This is how NFSUnlimited.net looked 4 years ago

and a screenshot.

korge
It depends if your in the states, or somewhere else:
Number of zeros/U.S. & scientific community/Other countries
3/thousand/thousand
6/million/million
9/billion/1000 million (1 milliard)
12/trillion/billion
15/quadrillion/1000 billion
18/quintillion/trillion
The system used in the U.S. is not as logical as that used in other countries (like Great Britain, France, and Germany). In these other countries, a billion (bi meaning two) has twice as many zeros as a million, and a trillion (tri meaning three) has three times as many zeros as a million, etc. But the scientific community seems to use the American system.

Btw,
Btw,
Broadband must have been an impossible dream back thenPlease note that the absence of fancy graphics from this page is intentional. We can make them as well as the next folks, but this page is intended to serve as a jumping-off-place for many users on slow (14.4K) links, and we want it to be speedy for them as well.

I didn't know http://www.com even existed
Heh, us Finns also have http://www.fi which was registered way back in the day when they didn't restrict domains as they do now. It's actually a pretty decent portal/search page for Finnish users.master m wrote:I didn't know http://www.com even existed
