What Phone Do You Have?
Re: What Phone Do You Have?
I recently "upgraded" my Nokia N81 to an N86, and it turns out to be a pretty decent entertainment phone (I still keep my trusty E71 for work, it's near perfection as a business phone).
OLED display for energy efficiency and is viewable in direct sunlight aswell. 8Mpix autofocus camera with dual-led flash, quality is as expected for a higher-end camera phone; ok in good lighting, in dark... forget it. 8GB built in memory and a micro-SDHC card slot. The usual 3g/wifi/ngage/audio/mp3/etc audio capabilities, but also has a built in FM-transmitter. That actually works! The external one I had for my N81 had far too low power, didn't really work in car which is where I mostly use it. I can even keep my phone tucked away in my belt clip and have no connection issues or interference what so ever (while driving).

Re: What Phone Do You Have?
Hi all.
Mine is the Nokia 7610. I have this cell phone since 1 year. It is very user friendly model and looking cool. I never faced any problem regarded to this mobile till yet. Its battery is also working good and camera quality is too good.
well I have Nokia 1100 too. It is also a very old and best cell among all Nokia's models. For messaging purpose I used it because its keypad is useful to do fast messages.

Wow! 7610! How come you only got it last year? It's really an old phone... and it's really slow too.

Re: What Phone Do You Have?
FINALLY!!!
No more RAZR for me!
Ordered it on Friday when it came out, was supposed to be here Saturday morning but the delivery man was not only late, but also only rang the (broken) door bell instead of knocking when there was no answer.
...so I got it on Monday. =D
(Once again, late.)
Oh well. Stepping up from a RAZR, it's simply amazing. I'm blown away by WinMo's functionality, especially with TouchFlo on top; plus I'm supposed to get a free step-up to WM6.5 from HTC, or... something.

It's not the delivery man's fault that your door bell doesn't work... no one knocks if they see a doorbell button.

Meh, I don't really care... I have it now.
Re: What Phone Do You Have?
I decided to finally get a nice phone. An enV Touch.
I've always had extremely basic flip phones, so this is quite the upgrade. It's taking some getting used to, but I really like it.

Re: What Phone Do You Have?
Man, my brother has that phone. In the "dumbphone" department, that's certainly the best of the best, or at least close to it. It's keyboard is as good as it gets for it's level and it seemed to be pretty nice for mild gaming.
Great choice buddy, I'm SURE you won't regret that one. =P

Hey guys, what should I get ? Crackberry 8520 or Nokia E63 ?
Got a deal and I can get them for 99 euros.
I've had 2 Nokia's till now and just wanted to make a change.
Any pros/cons from some users ?

Re: What Phone Do You Have?
Personally, I'll go for neither. But given your option, I'll go for the latter, simply because it's more stylish. If I were you, I'd go for the Blackberry Bold. It'll put your wallet on a huge diet, but trust me - it's worth every penny.
Re: What Phone Do You Have?
My dad has the Bold, and yeah, I've got to admit it, it has the best QWERTY keyboard on any device, good e-mail support and a decent battery life.
But I won't throw more than 350 euros on a device that's gonna be my 'daily' phone, when I could just upgrade my iPhone.

I'm thinking of replacing my Sony Ericsson W760 with a Nokia 6700 Classic. Any thoughts?

Re: What Phone Do You Have?
None taken as I am not yet an owner . But if you really want to know, it's because of the following:
-It's a Nokia
-5 MP Autofocus/LED camera
-Non-touch screen bar phone
-Thin (11.2 mm) yet durable (it's got a lot of weight) form-factor
-It's classy and simple
-Extremely high speed 3G (10 Mbps)
If you have any other alternative that has a decent camera with autofocus, excellent 3G, and is a thin/durable bar-phone (non-touch screen), let me know!

Re: What Phone Do You Have?
If BlackBerry is your thing, then it's definitely worth getting. Mind you, it's very business-centric, like all other BlackBerry's. You could opt for the 9000, which I personally prefer 'cuz of the trackball. It's cheaper too.
Other than that, BlackBerry is a solid qwerty-pad phone, and no other manufacturers can ever touch that.

Wow. Haha! So wi-fi isn't your thing?Porsche-AG wrote:None taken as I am not yet an owner . But if you really want to know, it's because of the following:

Re: What Phone Do You Have?
I have an iPod Touch that I bring with me all the time so I don't have that great a need for another portable device that has WiFi. I was actually considering the Nokia 5530 (I think?) ExpressMusic that is a touchscreen phone with WiFi, but I realized that with my iPod, it would be redundant to bring both.
Plus, I don't like having to drain my phone's battery life by using it for WiFi and music, so I'll keep that seperate.

Re: What Phone Do You Have?
Ah, OK. Well, the iPod Touch is a terrific wi-fi device, there's virtually no need to have wi-fi in a phone, I completely agree with you on that.
I wouldn't consider the newer generation of Nokia phones 'cuz 8 out of 10 friends of mine who use Nokia are having problems with the phones. I think you should stick to your choice. I've sorta lost touch with Nokia phones for quite a few years, so I really can't recommend anything right now.
