for me it is MUCH quicker to say WWW, because of the way dutch pronouce 'W'

The point is that regardless of which one is quicker, there's not really a choice. IMO, it's the question that's pointless.

The whole point of an acronym is to make it shortened so its easier to say, but in this case the longer version is easier to say than the shortened one.
