It takes some time when it updates the car... If you change the event it maybe starts loading new car and thats why they dont show to you... idk...
Just wait and dont do anything for awhile. If the car doesnt show up then I think its because of the graphics...?
And btw you mean in the race day 'room' where you need to choose what race you will take and where you can see your race day progress?

I'm also in my career mode and I would like to try it again.It's Nevada race day events and I'm new to this game.

Some race days don't let you pick cars. You'll have to race with the cars you're given.
