i have to break one more record. but i dont understand where to. i beat a record for someones overall race day record and it didnt work. so i figure, its not that. i have to break these records in speed? or?

Pushing other drivers is usually what ends up getting you totaled. I did some research and realized people say he totals himself over half the time. How many times did it take you to do speed at Nevada? I just got to the Ryo part and doing speed is so frustrating because the track is already hard but it's even more frustrating watching him get farther and farther with every mistake. i suppose you could play with your gearing. go into practice mode and try it out, tune it, try it, tune it. How far along in the game are you? If you have money I recommend something like an Evo for grip. I find the S13 good for drift mostly, though it can play all positions.

My bad. Whatever is next I'd like to see the increasing customization through tuning and buying parts. When I get a lot of money I almost have twice the fun upgrading cars and goofing around with them compared to actually driving.

Need for Speed: Golden State

Buncha highway racing in California and street type racing in the desert... I dunno...

The screen shots look so great. Hope those are evident in the game and aren't just to sell us on the graphics...

shiznit that looks real fun. The in-car view is rad. I wonder if playing it feels as dramatic as the end of the trailer...

What is up with the turning? Hmmm... I duno, doesn't even look like a Need for Speed game if you're just looking at the driving.

palmer: I am also using the Evo for grip. Sometimes it comes off the line (or out of turns) really squirrely and I have trouble gaining control. How can you tune to fix this? Other than just slowing the f*ck down when coming from first or second... Like the set up. Those are all my favorite cars. oh...

grip: nissan 240sx s13 (having so much fun with this thing but I think I need to upgrade soon, hmmm)
drag: toyota supra (needs more upgrades, i suck at drag)
drift: mazda rx7 (fun but probably needs more power to drift better)
haven't done speed yet (newb)

When i first got the game I did something stupid like sell my GTO and buy some crap car to upgrade it only to end up not needing it and the resell was about half the price of the GTO or something... I forget exactly I just remember being really, really flustered.
