Yes,I certainly miss jumping on the Vista wagon soon. For me, it looks like an improved user ID and other functions that you do not really need.

2 and 1 GB of system memory, respectively
SATA2-HDD(s) via ICH8 (libata/AHCI)
(both running Gentoo GNU/Linux ~amd64)
