Remember most of the audience that EA are targetting don't care about the cars in the game and the ones which are left out, the target audience still thinks that putting a 3 foot high spoiler on a car makes it go 60mph faster. I think car shadows just reduces the amount of glow from the neon, it's definitely in visual settings though, neons won't work on lowest detail settings and smoke won't either.

Can't you tune your car for individual events though? And it saves that data for each event, so when you go to say drift, it loads your drift settings, drag, loads your drag settings and so forth. Yep, everything goes, performance parts, unique parts etc. So don't go trading in a car which has a lot of mint uniques on it.

Played it on PS2, got it on PC now, much better. It's great, plus much easier to post up rides to this site . Downloadable skins and whatnot is great, I just think pc has more to modify.
