Yup, the keys are set up correctly ( all default settings ), and no, I don't have another controller, only Keyboard (PS/2) and mouse (USB). Would the mouse be the problem?

I think I haven't made myself clear enough... keyboards does not work. hit enter nothing happens, hit esc, nothing happens, hit the arrows, nothing happens, but only at game menus or that screen telling me to select a sponsor(keyboard works flawlessly when driving the car), thus making it impossible...
