Aren't all SL's convertibles? Do you mean they just didn't have the top down?

The concept has a diesel engine, yeah (Chrysler's line: it could be sold in markets outside North America, which basically means not enough people want it to make it legal over here).

http://www.dodge.com/en/avenger/gallery/index.html You mean that Avenger, right? I'm certain that's based on the same platform as the new Sebring. As for the Caliber, there'll be an SRT-4 version in a few months, with 300hp (and FWD only, torque steer heaven, I imagine). The Jeep you're talking abou...

The Nitro is mediocre, it's basically a rebadged Jeep Liberty. The Avenger's Dodge's version of the Sebring, isn't it? I can't think of what else Dodge has planned, except the Caliber SRT-4 (which is almost cool, in a DCX must employ a bunch of nutjobs kinda way).

It came out almost a year ago (along with a police-spec Magnum). The V6 model (which most will be) is as quick as the V8-powered Crown Victoria, and the V8 Charger is a suitable replacement for the old B4C Camaros (except it's got a useable back seat).

Uhh, EA's offered free downloadable cars in the past (Although not since Porsche Unleashed, after that, I don't think any of the games have been download-compatible).

Hecubus was a character on a Canadian sketch comedy show (supposedly the spawn of satan, but really just a little obnoxious). I had used it as a nickname for one of my old cars, and it just ended up crossing over into an online alias. For those with way too much time on their hands, this is the skit...

It looks pretty cool (more pictures are here), but I'm not sure that VW would want to use the name Iroc in the North American market.

On the highway yesterday, we were passed by a Carrera GT, which had me a little giddy. It ended up driving off into the boonies, but we couldn't exactly keep up (we were in my friend's Escort).

Keswick, Ontario is little more than a place where some people who work in Toronto come to sleep. We have alot of ice fishing in the winter, and we gave the world Curtis Joseph (an NHL goalie, I don't remember which team he plays for right now). That's about it.

Whatever your definition is, the Corvette's still faster than the Lambo. The fuel efficiency, and the ability to not fall apart after some light abuse is just a bonus.

On the weekend, while at work, I got to see a convoy of Ferarris go by. I think it was a charity cruise or something, but either way, I saw a handful of F355s, F360s, and F430s, along with a couple of either Testarossas or 512TRs (they were a little too far away to tell which).

Well, it's either 0 or infinite mpg. Unless your power is supplied by the burning of some sort of gas, in which case, however much of that fuel is burned to create enough charge to drive the car a mile is the MPG rating.

I think the main reason why the SR20DET was never sold in the U.S. is because {and it came out in '88, I think. You know, I think most Americans wouldn't have cared for a turbo 4-cyl. back then}I doubt it would have found much favor in a country where the favored engine layout was still the V-8. Th...

In Ontario, we have to have our cars (provided they were built in '87 or later) tested for emissions every two years. It's not really a big deal. I've taken a couple cars in, and the only time I had a problem was because my car didn't have a catalytic converter (the previous owner had taken it off f...

I think the Corvette counts as a sports car.

A muscle car, in the traditional sense, is a mid-size (by 60's definitions) with a full-sized car's engine. Essentially, muscle cars have proper back seats, and pony cars (such as the Mustang or Camaro) are 2+2's.

No, the Mustang in that video wasn't a Shelby. http://www.jbaheaders.com/articles/MF0406.pdf That article is about the car in the video, and not once does it make reference to the car being a Shelby (more importantly, from '67 onwards, Shelby Mustangs used the taillights from Cougars, not regular Mu...

For Cayuga's test and tune events, all you need is a car that passes the safety inspection (basically, if it's street legal, you're fine). As I said, I took a stock Intrepid and got in with no problem.

I haven't heard of a track closer to Missisauga. And I think you're right that Cayuga has more than just the drag strip, but I only know of the strip being frequently open to the common public (re. any guy with twenty bucks and a car).

I'm no where near a regular, although I did once take my old Intrepid to the Toronto Motorsports Park (which is really in Cayuga, about an hour or so away from Toronto). I only managed to get one run in, since it was a two hour drive. Still, I ran a 16.7 in the 1/4 mile, which is admittedly, less th...
