Lock the global lighting. Having the entire world's shadows spin to follow your direction of travel is really silly. Fix the pop-up issues. This is the first game I've seen in a while where you can actually see buildings and traffic just suddenly appear ahead. Toggle mouse cursor on the PC version....

I just obtained my copy of NFS Undercover for the PC, and after maxing every setting out, the game has some wonky graphics. Just out of curiosity, what kind of game would you be imagining that is a cross between GRID and Midnight Club? The only thing that comes to mind for me is closed circuit racing with customization, and that was pretty much Pro Street.

I think this patch is gonna be like ProStreet's. They put the FPS locked on 30 and that's it, have fun. BS. Undercover needs a hell of a patch to be a decent game. A lot of fixes with the graphics, more tuning parts, more traffic on the roads, a better AI for the police and the opponents and a hand...

I'd think it would be pretty funny if they end up fixing something silly like "ROAD WATER EFFECT IS NOW 150% MORE COMMON" instead of any real issues. I hope they don't and this ends up making Undercover the best racing game this year.

I voted for MW/UC formula but it would be pretty cool if they threw in some Underground elements too.

No. As I've learned from following Undercover, EA's marketing team is really good. Even if their previews for the game look amazing, the final product may still flop, like in this case.

I was really thinking about buying this when I went to Target, but I opted to wait for reviews and buy Gears of War 2 instead. I made a good decision (oh man Gears 2 is so fun!), but man, I thought EA looked like they had a winner in this one. Maybe next year.

Yeah, even the STi would be better than this, and I normally don't even care because putting the STi in this game is redundant. Both of the Evos do what STis do, except better.
