i was in the same situation you are in now. get a 8800 or get something less ? i chose the card just under a 8800 card it was so much cheaper and a better value, i still play games like tdu,carbon,fear, etc on high settings without any lag. if you want a dx10 card then wait until newer ones come out...

i believe the 8800 GTX is the top of the line (correct me if i am wrong) but they are very expensive

if cash is no limit then buy a 8xxx series if your computer can handle one
