NFSU flickering

I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. I did a search on the forum for "flicker", but couldn't find anything. NFSU flickers in the game, and sometimes stutters.. especially when driving past an area which has those shopping trolleys in it. My spec: NFSU 1.40 Windows XP Pro SP2 Op...
