Re: Lego Need for Speed Coming This Fall
Not as good as the Ferrari booster pack for Carbon last year.

Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
It's just the old EA 'equalizer' thing, where even if you have a faster car, the 'better' drivers will still be just as fast as you. And, like I said before in other threads, could you beat Rudy Chen with a 602hp Skyline or 700hp Evo X? (I race on Auto and King) I beat him with a 746hp M3 E46. :mrg...

I did, and wasn't very happy with it...Striker94 wrote:any of you realized how much better the E46 is compared to the E93 M3???
It's better in speed challenges, though its top-end power lacks a bit...

Re: Street Kings
All of them were pretty easy... Since there's AI handicap based on your performance, I guess you're supposed to take on the kings as soon as you get the chance to race the mode-specific events. I wouldn't be surprised if the king AI had "fixed" skill values. Then there's also the fact thei...

Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
So you are spot on about highliting the rather stupid allocation that the bimmer go in the power stakes, or may be they just went bonkers with trying to arcade the rest of the game out. I havent played too much (well, 20 min to be exact) to say for sure if the rest of cars are rediculously easy and...

Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
Actually I like the concept of ProStreet, at least I can remember all the tracks... In the free roam cities of MW and Carbon everything looks the same.
It IS a cool game, but it always seems EA *wants* to make us hate them by not paying attention to those details...

Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
My quick thoughts: - Good graphics, sounds, etc., the cosmetic part is very good, though some cars don't change sound with level 3 engine which shows they slacked off. - The so-called "revolutionary" tuning system is absolute BS. Brake bias settings are reversed, sparse explanation of susp...

It's a complete waste of time to rip the models of the cars present in both MW and Carbon. The models in both games are pretty much the same ones and, by importing a MW BIN file into ZModeler 2, you get a perfect UV map, which is not the case with ripped models. Even if there was an increase in the ...

seriously, the r8 looks good but is way overpowered, i mean in rl the r8 has no chance of beating an m3 gtr. plus, i like the bmw^^ The car in the game is an Audi LE MANS QUATTRO, not an R8. The Le Mans is a concept built by Audi to show the brand's new design tendencies and to rival the supercars ...

Well if EA doesn't make some major changes to the AI i wont even bother to try the game, I'm so tired of that AI can toss you around like a wet glove and when you hit them they just drive on like nothing has happened but your car spins like in frenzy. Also the LAME catch up system has to be removed...

The car in MW is NOT a Holden Monaro, it's an HSV VZ GTO. This single fact is already enough to ruin your project. Furthermore, to add the necessary badges for the car to become an HSV GTO, you must edit the mesh, and this can't be done ATM unless you manage to borrow the tools from arushan. I know ...

All the classic NFS games (TNFS to NFS6) had amazing tracks... My vote goes to NFS5, though. It had a great mix of high-speed and technical courses (Schwarzwald requires great skill with the older Porsches). And I miss the Autobahn so much... The most recent games have too many curbs and bumps on th...

When you replace the files, only the exhaust note is played afterwards (the engine is somehow muted). There's no way you can circumvent this other than editing the game's main files and assigning the sounds to the car without replacing the files (I did it with the Ferrari using some external help, b...

I despise the fact EA is treating this as a completely new feature to the NFS games. It really shows their absolute lack of care about their older titles. Heck, NFS4, released more than 7 years ago, already had distinct engine and exhaust sounds, and NFS5 went to the extent of having interior sounds...

If NFS: Carbon were a rally racing game, I would agree. But the main focus of Carbon is drifting, and rally cars have no place in a drifting game. Only if there was gravel drifting... :P Something came to my mind after people mentioned the 206, though: why doesn't EA include Peugeot cars again? The...

Given there are roadblocks of course. there better be roadblocks. i just hope they are not like the cops in PU and NFS3 they just follow you wherever you go and dont do anything :? In NFS3 they do try to stop you, even with roablocks and stingers/spikes... It's just that they're way too easy to get...

Update EA has released an official car list containing 12 cars. This is not all of the cars in the game, so don't be worried. This time around, EA is releasing the car list in chunks instead of all at once. The car list is also missing one of the cars seen in the demo of NFS:C. I'm including it in ...
