It's working fine for me. I didn't setup any port forwarding, but I see a long list of ip addresses starting with 5.xxx.xxx.xxx created and/or used by Hamachi. I don't use a router, so don't know if that would be an issue.

At the main menu, the first menu shown after you start the game, not the career menu. Just key in the cheat codes and you'll get a text box stating cheat is enabled.

If you mean my setups, all the career setups, and some stage 4 setups for online play are included in the walkthrough.

The cheat codes work in career mode. Speedbreaker helps a lot with the muscle cars.

While in a race day lobby, there's a time out and the menus fade away, but then a logo and a "show menus" icon appears. Is there anyway to get rid of this? A clue on where to start looking? Would this be somewhere in globablmemoryfile.bin?

Controller settings are stored in the save file. Some video settings, like resolution, are saved in the registry. Try doing a manual save after setting up your controller.

The parts list only shows what the car came with plus a stage 3 engine, perhaps I missed the stage 3 turbo. I was trying to minimize how much I spent early on in career mode.

The problem is the Charger is doing a wheelie until near the end, where it drops the front end and turns left. Try using a stage 2 suspension. Try this sequence: Backup then delete the save files for ProStreet. Start a new alias + new career with the same name you used before. Do a save, then exit ProStreet, delete the savefiles you just created and then restore your old save files.
