Undercover physics change: possible?
So I'm sick and tired of trying to ram AI cars and feeling like I hit a brick wall. Is there any way to alter the physics in the game to make AI cars a bit lighter?

Re: Need For Speed Undercover
Well I got the game yesterday and I'm going to post a mini-review as well of my impressions so far. Graphics: I have a Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz, 3 gigs of RAM and a 8800 GTS 512. After I turned shadows down from High to Medium (for some reason High shadows in every NFS game since Carbon have caused dispro...

Undercover in the press
Until Metacritic and the likes pick up the slack, here's what I could find: (source - platform - grade) IGN - Xbox360 - 5/10 Official Xbox Magazine - Xbox360 - 7.5/10 PSXExtreme - PS3 - 8/10 GamePro - PS3 - No grade but the tagline says it all: "Friends don't let friends play Need for Speed: Un...

Re: Favorite Car?
1. 911 Turbo. Whichever is the more recent, they seem to only get sexier anyway. Funny thing is that as a kid I used to not like Porshes, and they just grew on me. I'd go for the Turbo mostly because of the AWD, I think. 2. Aston Martin DB9/DBS. 3. Audi R8 / Nissan GTR. I know next to nothing about ...

Re: Carlot and Gazette updated
Wouldn't really make much sense for it to be a simple Mustang (2006 or 2010) as the 06 Mustang GT was already featured in a past Car-lot update. Could be a Shelby though.

Re: New name for next NFS
Since NFSC I thought they should call one NFS : Overtake and come up with a nifty little logo that plays on the fact that if you swap the two syllables, it becomes NFS : Takeover. actually, that isn't too bad, but kinda random. Well, not if like in NFSC the point of the game is to take over the dif...

Re: TECH TALK - ask your technical car questions
Quick question from a car-noob : in the later NFS games you can take an already very performant car (say, 911 turbo), slap on new parts, tune it some and bang, fastest car in the world. There's probably some concession to gaming and fun in there, but can you obtain noticeable results in real life by...

NFSPS : Evo X grip tuning
Hey, I'm trying to finetune an Evo for grip, but I seem to be running into a weird issue. I tested it on the ring track (I can never remember the names, it's the simple oval one) and in the turns, I always lose like 50 kph and there are sparks that look like they come from the undercarriage. I thoug...

Re: Pro Street Gear Ratios?
Myeah... I don't really agree. On a short, windy track you'll be mostly in, say, 1st to 3rd gear whereas a long straight one will make good use of 4th to 6th (that breakdown is simplistic and should vary according to your cars, but you get the idea). IMO it's possible to have one blueprint that gets...

Various questions
Hey all, got a few questions that I've been puzzling over : 1. How do people push Supras to 1000+ bhp ? Even with tier 3 everything and boost tuned to max, I'm still at 8-900. 2. For drifting : when you dyno a car it gives you numbers about lateral grip. What does this represent and what should I ai...
