If I remember well, there is some menu for playing hidden race events on map which you don't see but you can find them while driving around the city? I nkow I could play again some hidden and not hidden events in some list in menu

Pity really, Pro Street could have been fixed by the players with the release of the modded cars for it. But hey that's EA for ya. It was a good game, just messed up by the handling, and the bugs... Yes modded cars improve every nfs game, that is why high stakes was popular even with mods on hsscor...
