Re: (R35 GTR!) Umm... yeah. What extreme machine to beat RYO?

Well my tactic is rather simple, I drive with manual clutch and with keyboard before you wonder about anything else. Shifting up without letting off the gas almost always gives me the edge on corner exits over Ryo, generally he can get close to me, but he has problems passing me as I am rather agres...

Name: Sumo (Supposed to be Sumo Power, yep rip off from the tuning company)

Picture, the Sumo logo, unmodified at this point.

And currently I live up to it with my R34 GT-R!
It really shows the others who is the boss.

PSST even if you like Arcade games it is still great. Because you can set up this game to suit you in some manner, the braking distances are realistic and so is cornering speed but to some extent you can change aspects to more arcadeish. I am enjoying this game as it is a sim that even keyboard driv...

Well, I'll take that challenge the same way I did back in NFSU, NFSU 2 and NFS MW and now Carbon.
Change your car setup, a bit more interresting in my book.
But then again who am I to speak? I like Carbon but I am from the simulation crowd who enjoys GTR 2, GT4 and Enthusia.

For me it is the good ole blockers. They get the job done, teaching those Mustangs to stop cheating. Well, I like my GT-R at the moment, perfect for giving the opponents the message that THIS race is a loss already from the start. My problem is not the crew getting in my way, it is the others trying...

Dual channel is technology that has been availible for quite some time. Actually Nvidia nForce 1 introduced it, though back then it was fairly new and the bandwidth gain was so small it wasn't worth. nForce 2 saw a much more gain and was favoured by OC'ers since they got the same bandwidth at lower ...

RX-7 for me here... It has something I have never seen or heard in any other car. The abillity to rev so freely, and the engine sound... It suits my tastes perfectly plus it has a reasonably good cornering performance, may not be the best anymore but still is damn good. But I guess if you put a rota...

Well, Gran Turismo 5 will have a LOT of damage. Actually I doubt EA can sit out the next title with damage, car manufacturers are starting to realize that the games they give out licenses to helps them. Gran Turismo (GT) gave Nissan free commercial for the Skyline outside of Japan (Europe and US mor...

Supra for me though, the looks of it is so great (MK4) as for the 300ZX.
Well, they are correct, it is a forgotten car.
I sometimes have to scratch my head a few times before I remember the 300ZX and when it comes to games including it.
It isn't likely that I have tried driving it.

I am going early this year on christmas presents, so I got this kid who is 3 years old or so and I have been thinking of buying a small RX-7 (FD) for him in christmas present. I think it's time to wrap this up. The RX-7 was built as a sports car, as was the trend during the time it was built. It's meant for driving fast, nothing more. The RX-8 is built as an everday practical performance car, so of course it is not as fast as the RX-7 sports car, but it's more practical ...

Grand Valley Speedway gets my vote, thanks to the old GT2 and 3. Sadly it is butchered from the orginal version and isn't as much fun to drive as it was back in GT2 and 3. But I still like that track, in fact it is the course that I call "My home course!" Maybe because I learned Gran Turis...

Look at the Skyline's center console and interior floor, though, and you'll notice significant asymmetry right-to-left. This, combined with the engine-bay layout in which the six-cylinder is canted to the passenger side, reveals an obvious, depressing fact: it would take a cross-wired Star Trek rep...

Some cars lose power by adding a 6th gear according to the bars ;)
But even though a fully tuned car cannot allways win, remember the opposition cheats.
your best bet is to block, and force them into understeer, park them in columns and whatever objects you can find on the drag track.

I would like to see the simulation physics files for NFSU 2.
Too me it seems like they had some fun with the weight figures at least if they simulated some HP figures out of it.
Like a 206 less than 1kg of weight.
Mustang with well over 2 tons ;)

If it falls in the anime class in Japan, it may not be licensed, which makes it legal for download ;)
I think some live action ones are going down that path.

But it is Japanese so you need to get it subtitled anyways.

The advantage and why I prefer street racing over track racing is that it is so open and free. I mean, anyone can race freely and basically it is your car and skills that puts the limit. In most track events they put down restrictions like: "Your car needs to have that and that, you cannot have...

The only thing they don't cover properly in that article is porting. Where the fuel and air enter the combustion chamber. What you see there is the Peripheral Port method, but the stock RX-8 uses side ports. Here is a nice overview pic of it: http://www.stevemullin.com/images/rotary-engine-center.jp...

Nice pics earlier here, I like the bimmer drifting. If you have problems with the braking and ebrake, use the AIS (Active Instabillity System) to drift, remove traction control by setting it to 0 and the oversteer to 0 and leave the understeer at 10, raise it to 15 for 4WD cars and 20 for FF.
