I've been thinking that if my MR2 ever blows, I will probably get a Z32 for a track car. I'd put in a 1JZ (because it's heaps cheaper than 2JZ) and the car already has a bulletproof driveline and good suspension design. The only thing letting it down is weight but I'm sure an angle grinder can take...

Got my new timing belt in, the timing was actually off by a couple gears previously, now i got them precisely timed. Car runs wayy smoother and even sounds louder. Its been shooting flames also

Why not go with an SR? Its alot cheaper and would give more room in the engine bay. Only downside I can think of is that it wouldnt make as much power.
