Well i managed to permanently replace a car in my garage (a pink slip, Audi TT) with the Mercedes SL65 AMG, using the logocode/carcode. The method used was "brutal", just made a 'search / replace all' Audi TT code with Mercedes code, because i have no idea how to pinpoint the exact memory ...
