Re: The Super Doorstop: ZEROGÔKI 零å·æ©Ÿ
That would be awesome. How much boost are you planning on running though, 500cc injectors seem a bit OTT. I would've thought stock Supra injectors (370cc) would do you fine for a decently powerful set-up?

That's until you hit some corners anyway
Car seems to be going great, good to see you've gone with one of Jez's chips too. He really knows his stuff when it comes to mapping.

Re: Grez's 1991 Miata Roadster
Had the car dyno'd yesterday at a Miata event in Hull, East Yorkshire. There were 30 or so cars there, ranging from an 87bhp '95 N/A 1.6L, up to a 324bhp turbo'd '92 (w/ N20) which eventually destroyed the inlet manifold. I was aiming for somewhere around the 115bhp mark, the stock power figure from...

This is about the only other pic I have (you can see the side bolsters are a bit worn, but then it was extremely cheap...) http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/316/21hw7.jpg I'm after some RS2's, similar to this: http://www.rs-watanabe.co.jp/images/users_photo/shimono_japan2.jpg Or the more common gold/...

Anyway, here is the seat I want: Not quite as expensive as that, but the last thing I 'gained' for mine: http://img119.imageshack.us/img119/7982/20mr4.jpg *walks away whistling* Car's looking good mate, RB's really suit her. I'm saving up for some Wats too, not sure I can justify £1000 without tyr...

Re: TECH TALK - ask your technical car questions
I have done it through clutch failure in a manner of speaking. The Master cylinder on my MK1 broke and the fluid went on the floor while I was at work. Luckily it was only a short journey.

Have fun! We spent the weekend before I left for Germany fitting the Type-2 intercooler to my friends S13. Angle grinder - a - plenty.

Car is now off the road over the winter. ALL suspension components are coming off, as are the brakes. Time to start fresh.

Topped out the Miata in several places on the 'Ring. GPS-indicated 136mph.

Re: CPU Reset
Is that even your ECU? Most ECUs are pretty big (mine is around 200mm x 200mm), and are often located either in the passenger footwell, or occasionally in the engine bay itself. I cant really see it since the pic is blurred, but that looks more like a fusebox to me, with it being so small. As for wh...
Re: CPU Reset
I have to admit, though most ECUs come with a reset button, thats the first Ive heard of one which is so readily available, and simply one button. IMO, that points to a bodged install, or someone who doesnt know what theyre talking about telling you its a reset button.... As for what it'll do, it'll...

Re: Grez's 1991 Miata Roadster
Thanks folks! Sounds interesting with a car weighing less than 1000kg. Are those transplants how common? Theyre not common, in fact theres only 3 in the world I know of and theyre in the US. But it is do-able, and thats good enough for me hah. I did toy with an F20C swap, theres only one of those ev...

Re: What car do you drive ?
Meh, I blurred it out :P Its basically a glorified spec-list in the 'readers-rides' section. I got talking to the editor after he asked where to get my wheels (for his '81 Civic). He restrained from doing a feature, as the mag is a retro-cars type, and he wasnt sure mine was old enough. If theres an...

Re: What car do you drive ?
Abbey and Horsham are familiar names. Ofcourse I have no firsthand experience coz I've never been to UK Abbey are huge Skyline tuners, and Horsham Id guess you've seen/heard of from their chips (hence HD). What plans have you got for yours? We should all have an NFSU weekend at the 'Ring! :D 300 cr...

Re: What car do you drive ?
Ive been a resident of the SXOC for the last 5 years :) So basically, what I can infer from your post, is that the people who claim 300bhp without the mods I listed are using faulty dynos. Yes, each engine is unique, but not to the extent that they vary by 30bhp+. The reason I used the words ''prist...

Re: What car do you drive ?
On a standard turbo, ECU and intercooler I doubt it. Quoted for truth. My friend has a stunning S14A, Stage 1 mods (Roller-bearing T28, FMIC, HD chip, Blitz exhaust/de-cat, HKS filter, copper plugs, Walbro 255, Blitz SBC-iD), on a low mileage and pristine car. His dyno'd at 270bhp @ 1.2bar, and ran...

Re: What car do you drive ?
The wheels Im looking to order are some Compomotive MLs (3pc), Front : 9x15 ET0, rear 10x16 ET-25 :D Theyre a better grade of steel than the stock ''tie down'' hooks, so are a touch lighter. To be honest though, I could add the extra weight back by carying my phone. :D And yeah the sticker is a 'Rin...

Re: What car do you drive ?
I'd guess that the MX5 is either really stiff or has rolled guards. 195 on an 8 inch rim is kinda pushing it :P Wouldn't say it's dangerous, but I wouldn't do it myself. Its both stiff and has rolled arches. :P I have to say, Ive never had any even slight problems on track. I havent yet gone sidewa...

Re: What car do you drive ?
Loving the dish on the wheels. How far are you stretching the tyres? Always wanted to ask, how is the dish coming out so much, I've seen japanese cars which their dishes came out even more. How is that made? Lower size tire on a bigger size rim? Like 17" tire on a 18" rim? Sorry mate, mis...
