We're hovering at around $1.08 (CAD) per litre around here, which I suppose doesn't seem so bad until I realize it's equal to $3.90 (US) per gallon. I hope it's just extra taxes causing that.

For two grand, that's a very impressive Bimmer. I imagine you'll feel tempted to "borrow" it every now and then, huh? On a completely irrelevent note, I don't own the Escort anymore - it was written off yesterday. I accidentally ran a red light (I don't know where my mind was, I don't reme...

NFS Carbon? Couldn't they have picked a better name? NFS: Tungsten? Anyways, there's not really much to go on right now, although the locations look promising. Even though there's not much to go on, I'm looking forward to playing it, eventually (still haven't tried MW), I expect it'll be a typical ...

I sat in one at the local dealership. It's roomy and all, but I can't say I was blown away, it feels a little spartan, it reminds you it's an economy car.

I think more to the point, visual customization isn't neccesarily about going for the most ostentatious thing you can find, because if you do, you're a moron. What master m's picked out fits the car nicely, it looks good without getting tacky.

I think that's part of it, that to get better, you have to buy second hand. And many people just can't be bothered. With a new car, you're not running the risk of taking on someone else's problem, someone else's abused heap, and you get a warrenty. I'm not advocating it as the best way, but it works...

Well, lemme put it this way, the Mustang is to going around corners as the Miata is to going fast in a straight line. Over the years, they've made it much better, but it's still not outstanding.

I think we more get gouged on the little badge up front, as opposed to the importing.

Still, I stand by my ultimate point; you may not like the Mustang, and that's fine. There's just no point in going around slagging it, given that it does what it was meant to do rather well.

Everything's relative man, for a rental car, this thing's amazing. And just for the record, in North America, the Europeans don't have a single thing that can touch it for the price. It's about half the price of an M3, and yet it doesn't lag very far behind in performance (at least not in ways that ...

Depending on the name you're looking for, it's Richard Roundtree, or SHAFT! (I wish I could somehow fake a really high-pitched voice over the internet).

Well, I'm pretty sure I'm right, so just in case, I'm posting a picture now.

Is that an Excalibur of some kind? I don't expect that's the full answer, but it's worth a shot, if only to steer us in the right direction.

All you need to know is that our 87 is like your 91, and more importantly, that every Mustang will run on the cheapest, dirtiest 87 you can find.

I do know about the Automotive Heirarchy, but emissions and economy? Its only managing about 20mpg as it is anyway, and the resultant emissions are enormous. Maybe if Ford moved away from the principle of huge, low-tech N/A V8's in performance cars and tried to refine the engines a little more, the...

I'm sorry, 325 and 330 from a V8 is utterly dredful. I'm getting more than that at the wheels from a 12-yr old 5-cyl. =\ Yeah, but since it's a V8, it probably basically makes the entire 325hp from the moment you stick the key in the ignition. If nothing else, I'm sure it sounds orgasmic. I'm sorry...

And ooh a cars coolness is not decided by it's engine size. I doubt very many people on this board follow that logic (by which, if I'm not mistaken, the coolest production car would be a Viper). Come to think of it, it would make my Escort cooler than most Miatas. Anyways, I'm leaning towards HP2 h...

Yeah, but those rental cars will eventually get sold off. I can't imagine it'd be that hard to replicate anyways. I really hope Hertz goes through with it (more importantly, I really want to try driving it). It's only a shame that they didn't take it even further (a modern GT350).

Is there any question? A 356 is automatically cooler than a Miata (the V8 Miatas come close, along with the Mazdaspeed Miata, but that's it). As for better, no, they're not better. Just cooler.

It's not that weird, the NSX is the Honda Accord of supercars, using one daily isn't entirely out of the question (no more so than a Miata).
