Vinyls aren't stored in a fixed memory address, like the rest of the textures. Importing vinyls is buggy at best, so you'd be better off not trying to do that.
BTW, your username looks familiar. Did you ever visit the EA NFS forums or anything?

Re: NFS:PS Modding Tools
Search on NFSPlanet.de for NFSU360's TexEd 0.7.6 Beta. It'll allow you to modify textures, but not much else.
There really aren't that many other tools, though.

Re: Hex editing performance
To be honest it really isn't that simple. They have trainers which (while it's running) will allow you to automatically speed up to your top speed, as well as give you infinite nitrous, but people generally won't respect you for using those. Actually editing performance is impossible, as far as ever...

Re: Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune & Initial D Arcade Stage
WMMT cards are only another US$0.75 where I play, which is how much I pay for every game anyway. It really does make the game much more enjoyable, too - you can't really progress without one. Initial D cards ARE really expensive, though - it's US$5 for one card! (As opposed to the WMMT cards...

Re: Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune & Initial D Arcade Stage
Never really liked Wangan Midnight, but I play Intial D down at the arcade every now and then. And I always pick the MR2 for some reason  I wish the shop would find an F-Zero AX machine from somewhere . . . Do you have a card (for either WMMT or Initial D)? WMMT is much more fun with a card - ...

Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune & Initial D Arcade Stage
Okay, so I'm not entirely sure that they qualify to be in this forum, since they are both cabinet-style arcade games. Does anyone around here play either Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune or Initial D Arcade Stage? I play WMMT3DX on a semi-regular basis (read: once every month, more or less - whenever I ...

Re: JDM Car list Ideas
There would be a numeric ranking for each car, on a scale of (say) 0-1000. Ranking would be determined by a combination of horsepower figures, weight, and a few other factors, but there should be a rigid algorithm for determining the number. This sounds a lot to simulators to the likes of Forza 2. ...

What the heck kind of insult is that? Lame.

If I were you, I'd just get the Japanese-market OEM Silvia front bumper and the C-West lip kit or something.

Re: Favorite Car?
The older Mazda 3s and 6s were okay, but the new ones have those stupid-looking headlights. Grille isn't as bad, but the headlights are just cheap-looking, like a lot of new cars. Again, too much chrome and too much of an attempt to look "modern".

Re: Make An NFS Character!
That's TrackMania United. The graphics in that game are actually really good; but that's a custom car and custom paint job for that car - probably made with the built-in painter, which is hard to get good results from.

Wow. Looking at those pics alone, I think I've decided that that's the best kind of spoiler for an S14a. It looks great, as does the rest of your car.
What kind of spoiler is that? I don't remember seeing you post what brand it is.

Re: Coolest cars you've seen
Maybe NFS has influenced my decision about this, but my favorite BMW has always been the E46 M3.
M6s are okay, and I like the E60 M5 better than the M6, but I'd rather have an E46 M3 or E39 M5 instead of either.

What did everyone DO to their A3 files?!?
I'm fairly sure you can copy them straight off the disk, if you need to, without reinstalling. Open the *whatever it's called*.CAB file on the disk with WinZip, and (assuming it opens properly) it will probably be there.

Re: What car do you drive ?
I think he means "they were so loose, with no [steering] feedback".
As far as Avalons having "no steering", what do you expect? Big, heavy sedan + small, but heavy, front-mounted V6 + FWD = you're going to have a little bit of trouble steering.

Re: Coolest cars you've seen
I hope they aren't modified 3-series'es. :P I'm sure they're not. No one around here would go through that much trouble. Plus, all of the subtle trim lines up perfectly, especially on the E46 M3 (which I saw again today \:D/ ). Although I've seen a few E36 M3s and probably a few other E46 M3s...

They were if you wanted 100% game complete lol Keicars sound like a good separate class, although I do agree that they should be able to qualify for higher classes as you upgrade them. Personally, I don't like the idea of a rigid class system. I think it should be a bit more "fuzzy-logic" ...

Cappucino would indeed be great. It's as light or lighter than a Miata and RWD, which would make it the equivalent of a go-cart when tuned :P BTW, I have no idea where people keep getting the idea that the Maxima is related to the Cefiro. The A32 and A33 Cefiros were sold as Infinitis in the United ...

Re: JDM Car list Ideas
Legend actually sounds useful. Camry and Maxima are instantly struck down, by virtue of being FWD, slow, and un-tunable except by ricers. (Not to mention they're actually designed mainly for the United States and world markets and they are virtually non-existant in Japan itself.)

Cheap and ricer-ish, because many of their rims come with four holes in them for putting on cheap Civics and such instead of five holes, which you need to put rims on more high-quality cars.
RAYS Engineering (because Volk TE37 Time Attack rims are awesome).
