NFS 2 on xp

Just feeling a bit nostalgic of late and am working my way once again through the nfs series. My problem is that when I try to install nfs 2 it works but won't actually play. Anyone got any tips that I can do to get it to work. Are youse aware of a patch for this??? I liked nfs 2 and wouldn't mind replaying it.

Did you try running it in compatibility mode?

Hi rogue, i tried to find some help for u, but the only thing i could find just now was this.

this guy had the same kinda problem and posted this:

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know I got both NFSHS and HP2 working, with not one patch. All I did was create a new administator level user acount. Logged onto it, and they installed and ran fine. Yet, I logged off and back to the other one, neither of them work..
Weird.
Well, mabey this can help some other people....

Thanks viper_gts anyway for your help. I've decided to roll back to 98se so I don't have anymore problems with running the games I want.
