Get the Nvidia 6600 GT 256mb for $160 (in US) and spend the other $60 on memory(perhaps a fast 512 stick).

So the Nvidia 6600 GT would help out my graphics quite a bit? and is it necessary to spend 60 on memory? and would i need to buy a new power supply?

That depend on what powersuply you have now, so post your specs so we can see if your system can work with a 6600GT

What kind of Power Supply do you have? Specs arent as important as oyur Power supply. I have a 350w supply so I think anything higher would be good.

A 350W is a must for a 6600GT but if you need to buy a new one, buy a 480W or higher so you would have to buy a new one the next time you want to upgrade something.

You're going to have to open it anyway to put the card/memory in.

I think memory is even cheaper here than in the U.S. Probably everything else is more expensive. But i don't think there's much difference

That is the opposite at Staples. I've looked there and ram costs over $100, and that's just for sdram. Also, which videocard is the best PCI video card? I don't have AGP or PCIe.

Staples is an office supply store, not a computer store.

NyJonesy26 sounds like an amish shopping for hi-tech stuff. Doesn't have a clue what to buy and for what price

damn i wish my memory was 15 bucks...... i have 2gb of memory not installed to my PC because my dad ordered the wrong ones......well now i have to wait another week for the right memory.... oh well......
ok got a problem,
I have a non-custom case and i dont have enought space to put in a X850 XT Platinum
or a 6800 ultra because of the slot thingy.... so what is a good card to get but i dont want the 7800 because its over-rated, so which one is good for the bang of bucks ATI or Nvidia?
