Some people also have more important things to spend money on (i.e. rent, food, insurance, fuel, etc.)

Well, most of these people are children living off their parents, so maybe their situations arent similar to yours.

Would overclocking my P3 Intel Processor from 733 MHZ to 1 gig do a big difference?

It would make a difference if you consider melting your processor big. You should only ever overclock by such a percentage if you have the proper cooling kit (ie, Water cooler, tubed fan system), otherwise, expect to smell something burning.

Just overclock in small increments every few days until you start to notice problems, then back it off 5% ...

LOL My mate overclocked his CPU and fried it.........it was already a 2.5GHz, I have no idea what possesed him to try and increase it
