GeForce 7000 series doesn't come in AGP AFAIK ...

The 6600GT and 6800 would be my choices ...

Well maybe you have max fps in cs set on 60?
Do you know how to change it?

If you don't... put these in your config.cfg or just write them in your console...

developer "0"
fps_max "100.0"

If you write them in your console you don't need the " " thingies.

I just accquired a new Pc from a friend. A HP Pavillion a420n. It has a AMD something something.... It has a free AGP 4-8X. I was wondering what a good card would be for it. I was looking at the ATI All In Wonder x800 or a 6800gt...

Why do you "have to" put it on 300?
You don't need more than a 100 and is your developer on 0?
If it's 1 i suggest you change it.
And actually the human eye can't tell the difference in frames when they go over 60.

Please don't confuse PCI-Express with PCI, PCI-Express is gooooood, PCI sucks (at least for graphics cards)... Or have you got an AGP slot? Anyways, to be honest with you the fx5200 isn't the greatest card for gaming, a 6200 should do way better.

You wanted to pay a 100 Dollar for a 9250??? Quite expensive!!! (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814149001) For 100 dollar you should be able to get a Nvidia 6600 (128 MB, PCI-Express) if I remember correctly.

Dudes, PIC were the type of port graphic card used back in mid 1990's or so. That graphic graphic port was replaced with AGP and AGP got faster as there were different types like AGP 2X the AGP 4X and AGP 8X. Recently AGP got replace by a new port, PCI-E 16X which should be twice as fast as AGP 8X, most new graphic card are coming out in PCI-E ( PCI-Express)

dont pin this on me, i read it from an article
lets hope it doesnt confuse anyone but helps them

peace out

:D you're totally right... just one thing, you've written PIC in the beginning and it's PCI.

On google you'll certainly find some kind of benchmark comparing them

 I'm getting the idea some people are too lazy to look it up and instead ask it on some forum so others can do the work
