Are you kidding? I can do that with 512 and it makes no difference. And it's pretty funnyt (kinda creepy actually) what you said about Halo and listening to Rammstein, because that's what I listen to while playing Halo.

I stuck in an extra stick of DDR333 256 Meg RAM today and it did wonders for my computer. So now I'm running of 768 megs of RAM on Dual Channel. 8) Of course I cut my finger pretty bad installing it, but tis a small price to pay.

If 2 GB is overkill...then what's 4 GB?

But seriously...1 GB is a very good amount of memory know. UT04 online loads so much quicker for me (I had 512 mv before) and I can easily run UT04 windowed online, talk on MSN and listen to music (sometimes surfing the net too) without any problem! The 512 mb wasn't doing justice for me.

 no, you can't play music while playing games because your processor is overloaded, you can't do anything about it.

i just ran halo and NFSU2 with Jonny L_hurt you so(Viva la Juiced!) playing. overload the processor. yea right

I think he was being sarcastic.

If he wasn't...that's the stupidest comment I've ever heard. Your CPU won't get overloaded. The worst thing that could happen is that the game will lag.

He meant overloaded as not being able to take all tasks, thus ending up with a lagging game.

Not a CPU that will catch fire or something around that.

Unless you're stupid enough to overclock it or if you don't have proper cooling...it could happen...trust me.

I used to have DDR 256MB of RAM for some time. And it's slow as hell. And, playing Most Wanted can be a pain at times. Going into shops or leaving safehouses takes 1 minute or more.

And the shuttering, lagging and many more bad things, like whenever you're about to challenge a Blaclist dude, and theres a short movie, it's un-watchable.

But i picked up 2 512 MB stick, and it's freaking fast already. Leaving safehouses or entering shops take 3 seconds now!
