NFSU2 Noob Question

Ok, I know I'm behind the times for NFS but I'm new to this genre of games, PS2 for Christmas what can I say!

I wondered if there was any information anywhere on setups for the cars for the different type of races? Any general setup rules to follow for the different types of races?

I'm mainly having trouble with the Street-X type races.

Street-X? No dyno tune, no nothing: just get the corolla out, give it some upgrades and u'll win every street-x race. I know... the car looks like ****
