Most Wanted - VERY LONG Loading Times

Post by SurR3AL »

Whenever the loading thing comes up with the flashing lights it takes nearly 4-5 minutes to load, whether its a race or whatever, even when graphics are on lowest...

Does any1 have any suggestions as to wat i could do ?

Thanx

Processor : Intel Pentium 4 (HT) 3.0 GHz
Memory : 400 MHz 256MB DDR SDRAM
Hard Drive : 80GB 7200RpM Ultra DMA Hard Drive
Graphics : ATI® Radeon™ 9200SE AGP with 128MB DDR Memory

Problem is, the game works perfectly on computers with lesser specs than this

Please Help...

try defraging your pc and do a diskcleanup. Do you have any software on your pc that can hinder other software from running quickly like an anti-virus software

It all lies on the Ram you've got. Even my notebook with 768MB Ram load in 30/50 sec.

Just measured it myself.

From the time I double-click the icon on my desktop, to where Josie says "Hi"...about 16 seconds. (AMD XP 2400+, 1 GB).

Quick play mode, after clicking "accept" to the engines revving on the start line....about 10 seconds.

Definitely time to look elsewhere for the cause. Malware, viruses, disk fragmenting, background programs, etc...

I have sam CPU, 512Mb, and the loading time are close to vellu's. (The first for shure. Loading the quick race might take some more time, but not much more.)

I think you need more RAM (upgrade to 1GB), and a thorough disk defragment (WinXP default system programme), and make sure NFSMW is set as "trusted internet programme" for your antivirus software and firewall.

My game loads at lightening speed with literally 2-5 secs to load anything, and I don't think I've got too much more than you do.

My spec:

AMD 64bit x2 (dual core) 4400+
4GB RAM
SATA harddisk
2x Geforce 6600GTs (SLI)
Creative Audigy 2 ZS
QX6850
4GB DDR2 PC8500
2 GEFORCE 8800GTX SLI
X-Fi Extreme Gamer
1000Watt PSU
