does n e 1 know how to replace the lvl 5 cops with the ones form lvl 6 y switching around the vinyls. and o yea there is a trainer called something like ( v0.7.1 ) and there is a option to get lvl 7 in pursuit except when i engage it nothing happens except that the heat meter says lvl 7. what i want to know if the string of code i am about to post is real or is it just meant to change the heat meter to show 7 instead of 5

Level 6 cops have no vinyls right? Just plain black Corvettes.

yea, but there is a Skin "vinyl" present in the Textures.bin file for the Ghost Corvettes, just like there's a Skin "vinyl" present in the Textures.bin for the reuglar Cop Corvettes. that's what the game uses on them.

If I remember right in the cutscene at the end the Corvettes were just plain black. Now if only the Rhinos were black, the whole idea of a a "Federal Pursuit" would be magnified.

i did challenge # 69 and got to heat lvl six. the corvettes are just plain black without any of the police badging i will try to post a screenie later. i forgot how fun lvl 6 was with all of the rhinos chasing you and the corvettes. i wish it would be possible to pick which car you want to drive, i would pick the cement truck

you can make the rhinos all black, just replace the Skin file in Textures.bin with an all black file.

Is it possible to get to Heat Level 6 on challenge 68? It's been quite awhile since I've beaten the game and I'm looking to reexperience it.

challenge 69 has heat level 7, i think. that's only SUVs, and nothing else. it's also with a camaro, so it's kinda challenging. the camaro's not fast enough to get rid of the cops, so you've gotta find other means.

there is no level 9

highest level in the game is 7 and thats only when u beat razor and ur getting chased while in the M3-R

Correction, when you beat Razor it's Heat Level 6, 7 is only reachable through something in which the XBOX can't get.

Just hex edit the savegame, so that one of your cars get heat level 10. Btw Cross didn't come on heat 4. Before i started the pursuit my car had heat 10, but the game automatically changed it to heat 4(highest heat level on current carrer progress). Good thing is, that the first backup will be 100 police cars(maximum on heat 10). So i think heat 10 exists, because of its different cop cars(Cross' Corvettes) and a different number of backup(100 cars). But for instance heat 9 does not have such things.

Actually the game will not allow 100 cop corvettes on your tail at the same time, becuase this will cause a huge lag. Its similar to lower heat levels(you won't acutally see 25 Corvettes chasing you on heat 5?) But it works like this: You'll have about 5-10 level 5 corvettes on your tail and if you wreck like one or all of them, there will simply be new cops coming from every corner

. Loosing those cops will be quite a challange at first, so i certainly reccomend this

. Imagine if we could somehow get the heat level to acutally stay at level 10(Cross' Corvettes and lots of them

). To change the heat level for your car, just read the tutorial found <a href="http://www.nfsunlimited.net/?p=articles_view&id=17" target="_blank">here</a>. Btw hex code for level 10 is: 00002041

well, since the heat level is stored in the savegame, which is loaded into memory, wouldn't it be possible to freeze those bytes using a memory editor?

ok lvl 10 is pretty sweet does anybody know the codes for lvl 6 and 7

i still dont see why you cant freeze it on lvl 10 ? i should try.
