hey i was wondering if this picture is possible, i mean, if a good video card can do that "blur" effect on the background and ingame.

well, apply a sunset filter, crop out the cars and blur the background, then add a subtle smoothing blur to the edges. simple, really

yea it was probaly used for promos but yea it could be made easly in photoshop.
and also it has the little nfs-planet.de thing in the bottom left.... so it was used on that site and others for promos.

This effect was in NFS U2. It is even more intense with enhanced contrast enabled.

Motion Blur doesn't work if your not moving. Thats why its called Motion blur...

The pic I posted is from the cutscene at the start of a race, and the efect is called depth of field. Notice the bluring of objects in the distance.

Very nice effect IMO. The strange thing is its not in the PC version of MW but its in the console versions.

EDIT: OH YES I REMEBER IN THE FIRST VIDEOS OF MW, when a McLaren is racing and then jumps and you can see the blur!!! DAMN EA!!!!! ARGHHH!!!!
