EA's Community Day News
Another community day has passed this year at EA's studios in Vancouver. Unfortunately NFSUnlimited.net wasnt there this year to get you keep some new info on Carbon as we did last year with Need For Speed Most Wanted, but you can still find some info on the whole trip to EA at these sites:
Need for Speed World
NFS Cars
Racerplanet
NFS Garage
Xbox Evolved
Xbox Advanced
Game Freaks 365
DreamStation. CC
XGP Gaming
Talk Xbox
Xbox Solution
Joystick Widow
Xbox 365
Pop Culture Shock
You better keep checking them the next couple of days as they all will have coverage on NFSC.
Mean while, you can check Joystick Widow as it has already posted some new info.
Stay Tuned...

Yippie!!...Thats the best news Ive heard so far!!Skyline_man wrote:In case you dont know yet, and i am sure you dont , the game will use the same graphics engine of NFSMW, so for those who ran NFSMW fine, no worries about an upgrade.
BTW The guy at nfsworld said that he'd be posting a High Quality video soon

This year is a bit better then last year as I think you’ll see some reasonably good definition between cars and car classes and how they handle. Also there will be some differentiation in the cars as well, no more Neon’s souped up taking on tricked out Lamborghini’s and such stuff.
Does this mean no more catch-up
And I presume the next NFS is also in development right now too. Man, they roll these NFS games like they come off the Ford factory line...Carbon has been in development for two years and was starting its development when Most Wanted was in dev as well.
See, instead of working on two games at once, why can't they take the time to release an awesome NFS game every 2 years?
indeed, check this out O.ohammerspeed wrote: if u look at some of them closly, it looks like that same city as U1

I found the U1 city to be the best... U2 city was horrible IMO, and MW was ok... I'm glad carbon looks like U1, and the graphics are kind of similar...red_dawg wrote:Yes, it seems that this city is the city in U 1. I suppose they modified it a little bit because the city in u1 was very repetitive and boring. IMO the u2 city is the best so far.
I think the same, too... You get infront of a boss player, and blow his tires... Its waay too easy. The Gravedigger wrote:What the hell @ Assassin, couldn't that be counted as cheating ? :/
The way I understand it is that they're trying to do a more adaptive AI system that will slowly over a couple races adapt to your skill level and keep things interesting. With 8 cars there it will also be much easier to create a type of catchup that will keep things close without the huge "rubberbanding" effect that happened at times in Most Wanted.t3ice wrote:This year is a bit better then last year as I think you’ll see some reasonably good definition between cars and car classes and how they handle. Carbon is scheduled for release in November.Python_S wrote:I've just heard that NFS Carbon could be avaible only in late September or early October... It seems EA is doing the same thing with the Carbon demo that they did with the MW demo...Sometimes they suck but gotta love'm though
As far as a demo, ya they're gona make one, but honestly I've got no idea when a PC version will come out, I think you might see a console version here in a couple weeks maybe, but we'll see I guess.
