You can test every starter car before you choose the one you want. To feel the diffrence.
It is totally free to tune your crew's cars.
At the start of the game it is only hoods and roof scoops thats available. So i didnt get a chance to autosculpt.

To all who are complaining about how long the demo is taking to be released:

For all EA cares, they don't have to release a demo. Nowhere is there a law that says game companies must release a demo before they release the final game. Nowhere is there a law that says how early a demo must be released.

EA knows they have a wide enough fanbase that they will have a number of people preordering the game or buying it the day it comes out. They're still releasing the demo (but close to launch date according to EA_smoothie) because they know that there will be a lot of skeptics.

So my advice to you: either stop flooding the forum with useless posts such as "wh3re is t3h d3m0?" or take the issue to EA themselves.

I've read on nfs-planet.de that the demo wil be out around the shipping date of carbon in store...
And about the demo on xbox and ps2, it seems that they were a test-demo, just to see what players will say about it.

free gaming, sweet .. but after what that dood said, the autosculpt is a bit laggy, that meens the game isn`t 100% completed? or they will let it be .. who knows, probably the console was too loaded

nice find 2furio. i love those girls =D and the cars

edit: those screens are not bad. the crew taking over another crew's territory reminds me of GTA San Andreas

i only wish the fine tuning was a little more technical like you add separate parts instead of a package of header, cold air intake, manifold.

i'd like to do those separately and actually tune my way up one by one. and in some cars, not sure about the ones in carbon, dont drive good with packages of parts.

You know, I'd be so happy if EA does NOT release a demo because I am seriously tired of all the whinning. Like prince1142003 said, the company does not have to release a demo. It is not a law and all of you are taking it for granted. There are less than 3 weeks until the game comes out, go outside, do something and stop WHINNING about the damn demo...

i know but obviously PS2 and xbox all have demos so why wouldnt they release a demo for what will probably be the largest group of buyers , the PC players , they are just not making sense right now

As much as I hate saying this (I'm a PC user, so I'm on the same boat as you), a lot more people buy NFS for consoles than on the PC (it's that new ricer generation who can't afford a high end PC).

I've been wondering this for a while but how come EA has never let users input custom license plates? They always show the name of the current NFS game. I think custom plates would be a nice feature. It'd make racing online even more unique.

there is a way to make custom plates in MW but thats another discussion, i think we can safely say that the customization will be greater than in MW but what about in UG2

yeah, it's going to be "limited" in a way.....
Just wondering now what i've seen in the intros and "other" stuff, about the ending of carbon. I know it sounds a lot lot early but I wonder if the game left open another game like a possible Underground 3 , Most Wanted 2 or even a Carbon 2...

Also i was wondering, wtf is inside of the red bag that nikki left u just seconds before she gets busted by cops, and then u supposedly escape to rockport?? you escape in that supra....mmmm..not in the M3...

I seriously hate demos... they don't have all the cars! So I buy the full version instead. And by the way, does anybody knows if the '78 Firebird, the Cobalt SS, the TT, and the Rabbit GTI will be available on PC/consoles?
