Well, I'm not much of a technical guy... I just assumed that plasma would be better as it's more expensive.

Quick offtopic (sorry mods) we already had a discussion on LCD vs. Plasma and LCD won, plus Plasma is NOT more expensive, LCDs are, so let's put that aside... :P and return to our lovable and favourite but aging franchise...NFS...

No, plasma tv's aren't good for one reason, they burn images in the screen provided its on the same still image for a period of time.

My parents have a plasma tv and we were told by the TV guy that don't leave the tv on the same screen for long periods of time, i guess you see this happening when you pause a game or something to make lunch or you are on the menu of a DVD, just things like that.

For those who want to know about the MR2
it is the SW20 model build from 93 till 98 and I assume it is the MR2 2.0 turbo.
not the GTi version.

Like 2furio said, it's probably a very early concept art for the game.

i thought toyota stopped making mr2s in 96 and they kept on running till 99 where they made a new one.

I think its a 96 from my guesses and experiences.

Is there any confirmation yet of engine transplants into earlier cars? For example in Forza (i know its a sim) you could put the 5.7L V8 from the '05 Pontiac GTO into the '70 Pontiac Hardtop. Would be cool if that was possible.

That won't be possible in Carbon. Only performance upgrades can be applied, entire swaps can't be done.

So turbo setups on the early girls will be a blow-through set up I guess. Or will only superchargers be available on the Muscle cars, as was the case in MW??

i think superchargers will be avaliable in new cars too, remember the chevy cobalt, in MW it was a new car and it could be modiffied with a supercharger

In MW all Muscle cars had the supercharger option in place of the turbo option. Hopefully carbon offers both, even though the idea of a muscle car making ricer sounds gives me the shivers it would certainly make the game more versatile

From the 55DSL video, it seems like each crew member will have two attributes, off track and on track. You may have a crew member who's a blocker/fabricator or a blocker/mechanic.

Very interesting.... adds a new level of careful choice to crews

It's funny how excited people are over Carbon. The EA server went down for a minute (probably a scheduled reboot or something) and people everywhere started posting about the PC demo being uploaded and stuff.

All the things you can find while browsing around other forums...
I don't use pwned. I use BSODed. It's less cool and harder to say. I know.
