U2: Cant upgrade visual

Hi,

I'm at like the first level or second (ultimate newbie you know) and I recieved some SMS about some parts I could upgrade like the hood and later ehh windows I think... Things like that... But when I go in the garage, the categories are locked! Although, I can upgrade the performance parts... Why that?

Using PC version on WinXP
Using a NoCD... And I really wan't to play without CD!

you have to go out in the roam mode to go to the parts,color, and specialty shops

It doesn't work neither from the menu nor from the roam mode (that's explore if I'm right)...

You need to drive around the city and FIND the stores. They do NOT show up on the map initially. You can spot them by a colored street light (for instance, your garage has a purple light, body shops have green lights, performance shops have blue, etc).
