Your Thoughts about NFSC...
Most wanted was alot better. I could finish the game with the crappiest car if I could drive right.
And 3/4 of this game is like 15 races? It so short it lame. In MW you actually had to play more than 5 hours to be finished with it.
And the AI cheats it almost like go catchin hackers in cs. They EVERYWHERE.

Carbon is like an expansion to U2. Night, ricing is in first plan again, crew management is crap and even races are too easy and dull. The runs are faaaaaar from Most Wanted action. MW was the game that brough back that old NFS feeling and gave you oppertunity to roam free, not just a track. The only true NFS sequel to Hot Pursuit is MW.
Carbon took out even the physics of MW. Now a Lotus handles worse than Supra. And Porsches or Lambos drive like trucks. Very bad.
EA, what happen???

Bad thing about MW is catch up, that seems now been sorted. I mean i myself had a very strong feeling to just stop playing at about Blacklist #2-3. One lil scratch or slightly different angle and you can just restart the race as AI driver is more then perfect, so if you even slightly do something not as him your out. I myself really would to see as much realistic AI as possible. Maybe even AI that can actually do random mistakes or try to push you off the track on purpose.

Exactly my point, i drive a Lotus (race and pro tuning parts on) and my opponents drive some crappy Mazda's and they fly away in the start like there is no tomorrow. The cars is no way the same as in real life as EA stated before, not in speed and not when it comes to handling. I mean a Lotus is one of the worlds finest racing cars and even the street version should beat any tuner any day, so EA has seriously screwed this game up and i still give it a thumbs down.SuperString wrote:Carbon is like an expansion to U2. My only reaction to the "real cars" vs NFSC Cars is ... it is a game. I guess it comes down to making the game challenging or making it real. In all honesty, you are right. A Lotus would wipe up the streets in real life against tuner Mazdas, but would that make a good game? Would you rather win every race without any sort of a challenge whatsoever? That would be extremely boring. When I raced my RX-7 in the hills vs. the Charger R/T, the Charger would be all over the road at those speeds but she kept up with me every step of the way. That was unrealistic and I am just in the beginning of the game. I guess if you want realism you need to focus on a sim not an arcade racer like NFS. NFSC is far from being a Sim Racer. Of course, truth be told, when EA touts it with "realistic physics" you want to know who that physics guy really was.
I still stand by my evaluation that it is a fun game with some great graphics and exciting elements. It is all about what you feel is entertaining, and I am entertained.

I been playing it for a few hours now...i started off with the muscle...im around 40% and im still using my carmo killing everyone...I'm starting to notice the AI cheating alot...
Best thing i like about is canyon drift...it really does take skills to drift..i get so much adrealine..this game is exciting...very good..
But Im just not unlocking enough cars...still waiting for them...

You might need to watch some car test driving video, lotus lacks power seriously. Yap, Lotus is very very nimble due to it's weight at around 700kg, but it has only 120hp !. Its engine is refined for shaving off serious weight, but it's vulnerable to serious tuning. In other hand, Rx7 weights around 1300kg, but it has 280hp stock with alot of tuning capability. Comparing stock to stock, Rx7 has a better power to weight ratio than lotus. Due to its limited tuning capability, it's impossible to make a Lotus to attain a faster top speed and acceleration comparing most of the heavier car out there.Ceano wrote:Exactly my point, i drive a Lotus (race and pro tuning parts on) and my opponents drive some crappy Mazda's and they fly away in the start like there is no tomorrow. Handling wise, yes, it is very nimble comparing those lambos, which weights a ton more, but tuner like mazda rx7 is very nimble too, and is known for it's tuning capability + handling. Lotus is a very good car, but you expect a seriously tuned up tuners or muscle cars to smoke you. I am talking about facts, not according to "feeling".
Anywhere, it's just an arcade game man, you might want to stick with forza 2 or GranTurismo series if you want realistic. Below is new lotus elise spec.

Yes, you won. I got my crew name inspired from you. Haha!Dragster wrote:Ehm...Dragster wins? I won?ahmad0410 wrote: pic
You know how I won this? I used Kenji's Rx-7 to race against a Lamborghini Murcielago. And I won. How? Because that murcielago slows down at every corner and near the finiishing line, it crashed, enabling me to pass it withing 10 seconds to win the canyon duel.
I mean while in the race, the Lamorghini Murchielago crashed! Not my system! And I'm using an Xbox, not PC.DeMyX wrote:It crashed? Your game must be bugged. I recommend you re-install it if you on pc or go to your nearest store to trade it.
And for those complaining about how fast the opponent is, don't blame EA, blame it on your racing skills aite?

im still waiting to buy my CE jaq in the game...it hasnt shown up yet...Abrams wrote:Still got question for those who own NFSC, in CE you do have all the exclusive content? You can only pay to unlock exclusive stuff without winning races but thats stuff can be accessed ingame by passing the game itself?
Premium Unlockable Content is contents that already exists on retail disc and can be earned by playing though the game or paid to unlock the content early.Abrams wrote:Still got question for those who own NFSC, in CE you do have all the exclusive content? So that means the stuff on the PULC are still unlockable by winning races. But if you want it earlier, then you will pay for it. (does that sounds right? you will pay for it!.. nvm..)
What about this then:ahmad0410 wrote:Premium Unlockable Content is contents that already exists on retail disc and can be earned by playing though the game or paid to unlock the content early.Abrams wrote:Still got question for those who own NFSC, in CE you do have all the exclusive content? I figured that out, the weird thing is that the CAR CRASHED AI DONT CRASH. BUG ALERT! That's sorta what I ment.ahmad0410 wrote:Yes, you won. I got my crew name inspired from you. Haha!Dragster wrote:Ehm...Dragster wins? I won?ahmad0410 wrote: pic

Silverton is where Carbon is finally coming into own as a racing game. The 1st 3 areas were just too darn easy. Granted there is no drifting (for a change in pace) in the last area, this is how I think a racing game should be. Challenging tracks with relatively competitive opponents. While I blazed through the 1st 3 areas in about 8 hours of playing feeling rather empty, Silveton has kept me on my toes and has brought Carbon back into the light for me.
Given the wide range of cars available in the game, they should have spaced out the unlocking of cars throughout the 4 areas while making the change in difficulty at least fairly linear. Now you unlock cars every other race, but are not able to use it for all that many races till the end of the career.
Due to the nature of the cars that can be unlocked by completing races in Silverton, there is actually a need to strategize before jumping into a race. It would have been nice to have such strategic gameplay requirements in the other areas as well. It would have probably prolonged the career and have provided more replay value.

That's purchasing the full game online, not cars.Abrams wrote:What about this then:ahmad0410 wrote:Premium Unlockable Content is contents that already exists on retail disc and can be earned by playing though the game or paid to unlock the content early.Abrams wrote:Still got question for those who own NFSC, in CE you do have all the exclusive content? Finally received the game today, and after a couple of hours play, the one thing that I don't like is the way you have to specifiy whether you want more torque or horsepower or more drift or grip when you buy the parts. I'd rather be able to change the settings after I've installed the part, as if you make a mistake when you buy the parts you're stuck with the settings. (If I'm wrong, feel free to flame).
Apart from that, not bad, nothing earth shattering though. Personally I still prefer MW...

I believe you can just simply pick the part again and set it the way you want without paying.DarrenR21373 wrote:I'd rather be able to change the settings after I've installed the part, as if you make a mistake when you buy the parts you're stuck with the settings. Career was enjoyable. Difficulty was rather strange though, it went from quite easy to quite hard real quick. The cutscenes were fun to watch, music (tuner) is great to listen to. Hmm, what more.. Graphics could've been much better, a little disappointed that EA didn't do more about it. A little buggy too, the game seems to crash a lot.
Oh, and you're pretty much flying through career. Maybe should've been a tad longer.
My toughts on the game so far, I am at 67% (rather quick imo) but I think I can make a realistic review of the game from what I seen so far. (XBOX 360)
Graphics:
Good but the game doesn't feel like WOW this looks awsome, MW had a better feel in that part. there the sunlight and shadows generated some photorealistic views.
But in carbon it feels like what it is... a game.
Only the Canyon races look nice and realistic and dark, like it should be at night.
The city is shiny like in Underground 2 wich I found to be overdone. The casinos and chinatown are logically light but industrial areas that look like they are almost in daylight??
Storyline:
Well the storyline is better then expected, the cutscenes where nice to watch and alot more of them then in MW.
Cars:
I'm pretty disapointed in the list cause you can't use like 50% of the cars in the careermode, in MW it sucked that you could not use the C6R, GT2 and SL65 (M3 GTR street, Camaro SS for Black edition) but all other cars could be used in the careermode.
But now?
Like half the cars I race, I can't buy, maybe it depends on what careerpath you choose but I can't buy, and I haven't seen alot of the cars in the list in the careermode.
What is that all about?
Cars Part 2:
The Idea that you can't race a low end car against a high end one sounded pretty neat. but when I am playing it its just rediculous, really
The RX8 is a Tier 1 car while the 350Z is a Tier 3 while they are in real life pretty much the same in specs, In Carbon you can't even keep up with a stock 350Z with a fully tuned RX8. that's just BS!
It would be logical that a AE86 Corolla can't keep up with a 350Z or a RX7 but they should make it abit more logical then they did now, now you can race your 350Z against Carerra GT's and the likes... (stockwise that is)
Customizing:
That is the part that is really cool. you got the full bodykits like in MW and you can kits that you can sculp and choose parts for. the Rim selection is alot great.
I love that EA finally choose to get a full color patern like it should and they even made it in several paint styles... love the candy colors.
Pursuits:
They are far from fun compared to MW, simply because they don't give you anything extra, you don't gain rep or anything by it.
It is still fun to crash them, and I have to say I think they look abit better because they shine more then the matt paint in MW.
I haven't tried anything but the careermode, I only tried 1 challenge serie and failed so got back to the career.
But from what I seen till now the game (career) is short.. really short.
And in the recent NFS game (from U2) I hardly ever did a quick race, cause the tracks suck and this one is no exeption (unless someone knows a really good track that is wothy of setting laptimes, like done in Underground 1.
So I don't care much that you can race most of the cars in quick races, cause I won't use it much.
Online?
Haven't tried it cause my 360 is not connected, I only connect it to download stuff.
Overall, Im not very impressed.maybe it changes but atm I don't feel like it was worth the large amount of $ I paid for it.
