Vinyls in NFSC

Post by BKize_GT »

Is it just my comp or are they really laggy? It takes me 10 minutes to move a vinyl from the side to the hood :?
I've also noticed that stock vinyls (ie. Camaro/Cuda etc.) are extremely pixelated and ruin the look of the car...

Anyone else deal with these?

Moving the vinyls is slow indeed, but not *that* slow. If I keep the button(s)s pressed without releasing them mid-move it takes maybe 30 seconds or so to go from side to side (or hood). If you do it one "click" at a time always waiting in between for the game to redraw the vinyl, sure it will take a long long time. Luckily you don't have to do that, just keep the button pressed and after a few clicks you see a grey placeholder for the vinyl that moves at a slow but reasonable speed.

And true. The muscle stock vinyls are very low resolution for some reason.

The only muscle stock vinyl that isn't pixelated is the one for the viper, IMO, and the vinyl transformation is even slower on the PS2.
