Progress in NFSC Career mode
Got the final boss with a skyline.
1st run, i fell off
2nd run, he got me at the last jump on second stage. lost with 0 pts.
3rd run, ran wide, i almost fell off, but hit the wall at the end of a guard rail. he blew by.
last run, coming into a hairpin, i shifted down to first, 'cause i bog out of 2nd. i powershifted to 2nd, then 3rd, and 4th, got a run on him and passed him on the outside in the long sweeping turn where you can go WOT. i overtook him and won!
the brakes and tires really helped. i keep my brakes equally biased, and my tires with a mix of drift and grip. i kept understeering with grip, but i slip nicely through the corners with the balance. the R34 really bites!

I don't know either....ahmad0410 wrote:Can someone tell me how it works to turn in corners fast with muscle and exotics? Coz I really don't get it.
What I only used in race is "Out-In-Out" and that's it.
Well, the circuit race is a easy. I smoked him by 9 seconds or something like that.Prelude wrote:I'm relly pissed off. I beated Darius on the circuit race, and when we get to the Canyon Duel the game chrashes........
Damn bugs, man
He looked so angry when I had a lead on him lol
And here is a scrnshot that he was 11 seconds behind lol
darius seems easier than the other bosses. i beat him easily with an evo tuned to oversteer.
for muscles i usually use the e-brake to slide around corners. for exotics, you need to corner the 'proper way'. i supposed its the way driving instructors teach you to, minus the going at 200+km/h part for exotics, brake before you enter the corner, let go of the gas, turn in, and slam the accelerator as soon as you reach the apex of the curveCan someone tell me how it works to turn in corners fast with muscle and exotics? Coz I really don't get it.
*sig removed for being too big. limits are 550x120px and 50kb*
Why would you tune it to oversteer???yammer_y2 wrote:darius seems easier than the other bosses. i beat him easily with an evo tuned to oversteer.
Isn't oversteer makes you slide more???
btw, I beat Darius in canyon without any setting. I only set NOS to "velocity", but you can't use NOS in the canyon duel......
I ran a set up with a tendency with a bit of oversteer since I was using tuners as well. My experiences with the RX-8 and the 350Z left me wanting the rear tires to slide a bit more coming out of low speed hairpins. I figured when I got the Lan Evo, the tendency would have been more towards understeer and the back end even more reluctant to slide coming out of corners with the throttle open. I basically hoped that more oversteer would allow me to open the throttle, fully, sooner coming out of corners.EVO_VIII wrote: Why would you tune it to oversteer???

I prefer oversteer because I usually utilise engine braking (down shifting before turning) while using the evo. Oversteer makes the car easier to slide, which is precisely what i want. By using engine braking, the car's rpm remains high, making it easier to drift. well, perhaps not a true drift.EVO_VIII wrote:

Well I don't use E-break every often.....yammer_y2 wrote: I prefer oversteer because I usually utilise engine braking (down shifting before turning) while using the evo. So I don't think I need any settings except NOS.
